Tamar And Vince Premiere Party For Their New Reality Show!

I’m kinda late with this one.Tamar and Vince Herbert walked the red carpet in New York last week to celebrate the premiere tonight of their new show, which debuts on WEtv.

While it’s been clear that Tamar was the breakout star of “Braxton Family Values” soon after the show premiered in April 2011, now the 35-year-old singer will no longer have to share the stage with her superstar sister Toni and her older sisters Trina, Towanda and Traci, who have all been backup singers for Toni.

Tamar even spoke about it on the red carpet.

 “I want to be known as Tamar, not Toni Braxton’s sister and definitely not Toni Braxton’s back-up singer,” she said. “I don’t give a damn if she’s Beyonce and Madonna mixed together. I don’t want to sing nobody’s background.” 

As for the red carpet fashion, Tamar wowed in a ’50s inspired fit-and-flare dress while Vince, owner of Streamline Records, who has managed the careers of big name artists like Lady Gaga and Tamar’s sister, Toni, matched her retro look in a checkered shirt and bow tie.

Good for Tamar. However I just don’t see her music career going anywhere. That mouth was made for T.V I just don’t think it’s going to translate into record sales!

Kanye West Sex Tape Being Shopped With 18-Year-Old  

If you’re interested in seeing Kanye West bucket naked, then perhaps you may be in luck, very soon. Radar Online reports that a sex tape of Kanye is currently being shopped. Here’s the skinny.

What’s exactly on the tape? The site shares that they’ve seen the entire sex tape, which lasts 20 minutes long (in short, they claim that Ye wears protection–they never kiss and don’t interact-outside of the act, in various positions). Who’s the lucky girl? Well, she’s no one famous (yet), but allegedly, she favors Kim Kardashian (she’s described as having ‘bodacious curves, dusky skin and long black hair’) and she claims to be 18 years old and married. On the tape, she’s heard saying:

“My husband and I don’t have sex anymore… that’s why I’m here!”

According to an alleged insider, Ye is not a fan of the sex tape seeing the light of day, although he set the tape up and knew that he was filming himself. The insider says:

“The sex tape is being shopped right now and there’s a lot of interest, but Kanye is freaking out! He doesn’t want this tape out and will do anything to make sure it stays private. If this were to hit the market it would be worth a fortune… there would definitely be a lot of people wanting to see this! In my expert opinion Kanye’s performance far outweighs Kim’s!”

When was the act recorded? There isn’t an exact date, but allegedly it’s before him and Kim began publicly dating.

Black Girl in Malibu Sues District After Teacher Slaps Her in Face 4 Times

A black girl in Southern California has formally sued her former English teacher at Malibu High School for slapping her four times in the face last May because the girl left her binder at home.

The lawsuit says the girl, Dionne Evans, 15, was the only black student in her entire grade at Malibu High School, when she was slapped by teacher Jennifer Gonzalez, who has a “history of violent attacks,” according to the suit.

According to media reports after the incident, the teacher claimed to be acting out a scene from “Bridemaids” in which one character smacks some sense into another character.

The lawsuit in Superior Court names Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District, Malibu High School, teacher Jennifer Gonzalez, and school principal Mark Kelly, in Superior Court. The girl and her mother are seeking medical costs plus general, punitive and exemplary damages for battery, assault, negligence, negligent supervision, violation of civil rights, public school discrimination, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress, defamation, libel and slander, and corporal punishment.

“Gonzalez came over to plaintiff’s desk and said ‘You probably don’t even have a binder,’” the complaint states. “Plaintiff repeated to Gonzalez that her binder was at home. Gonzalez then told plaintiff that she needed to ‘get her life together’ and to ‘straighten up.’

“Gonzalez asked plaintiff if she had seen the movie ‘Bridesmaids.’ Gonzalez then slapped plaintiff hard several times across her face, at least four times. Plaintiff’s face hurt from the blows. Plaintiff repeated that her binder was at home.”

Evans says she was “humiliated and embarrassed and wanted to cry and run out of the room,” but she “just kept her head down” and “avoid(ed) eye contact with Gonzalez and her classmates.”

The suit claims Gonzalez has a “history of physically striking her students”—16 years ago, Gonzalez attacked student Andre Lewandowski by throwing a bottle of soda, which hit him in the genitals.

According to the complaint, “The blow to Lewandowski’s genitals was so painful he collapsed on the floor, crying in pain. Gonzalez told him to ‘Get the fuck out of my class and go to the nurse’s office.’ Gonzalez also told the male student, ‘I hope you never have babies.’”

After Evans’ mother complained about the attack on her daughter, the district didn’t reprimand the teacher, who wrote a letter of apology.

“In her letter of apology, Gonzalez claims that she cares deeply for plaintiff and that her intentions in hitting plaintiff were ‘honorable,’” the complaint states.

 “She’s going back and forth across my face,” Evans said in an interview with a Los Angeles television station, KTLA. “I felt like she thought it was a joke.”

At first, Evans said she didn’t say anything. Later she told her bus driver, who told the girl she should speak up.

“I tried to convince myself that I was overreacting and part of me had felt guilty,” Evans said. “Then I was like, ‘You can’t be in denial about your feelings.’ Like, I was genuinely offended and I felt hurt and embarrassed.”

After the attack, Evans claims she was “segregated” in the library, and completed the school year at a different school.

She says the school district rejected her claim for damages.

Chief Keef Kicked Off Instagram for Posting Picture of Himself Gettin’ Some Head

If Chief Keef isn’t going around giving half-assed interviews, calling Lil Wayne a “homo,” or tweeting insensitive remarks about a young rapper’s shooting death (and then claiming “I got hacked!“) … he’s posting inappropriate pics on Instagram for his teen fan base to see. (What a role model!)

Keef tweeted a lewd photo of himself receiving oral sex from a female fan … who doesn’t look very female-ish, we must add.

Keef later attempted to delete the image, but by then, it was too late. Many of his followers had already took a screenshot and/or retweeted it.

So for the sake of all young people and the rest of humanity, Instragram shut down Keef’s account and banned him from the photo-sharing social network.

Keef, of course, wasn’t happy about this at all and tweeted:

Lupe Fiasco Responds (Via Twitter) to D.L. Hughley’s Public Criticism

*You know Lupe Fiasco wasn’t going to sit on his heels while D.L. Hughley criticized the rapper on Hot 93.7.

Hughley expressed his contempt for Lupe’s decision against voting.

 “He’s bright as hell, but dumb in the ways of the world,” Hughley told Hot 93.7/Hartford. “Young black men are going to listen to him. They are the ones who have decisions made for them, [decisions] that they are not even involved in, which is silly to me.”

Well, the super opinionated rapper took to Twitter to defend his actions, or lack thereof.

OOH SHADE????? Kanye West & Wale Get ATTACKED By Roscoe Dash For Not GIVING CREDIT

When he's not busy trying to mack Karlie Redd on "Love & Hip Hop ATL" (can we talk about how AWKWARD that was--felt like a mama macking to her own son), Roscoe Dash is busy writing club bangers for your favorite rappers.  And he's tired of not getting recognized for it.

Ghostwriting for rappers/singers is nothing new, but sometimes those folks behind the scenes want a little appreciation or credit for their contributions. Roscoe Dash is no different as he took to Twitter to blast Wale and Kanye West for ignoring his contributions.

Roscoe, who appeared on "No Hands" with Waka Flocka, got pissy after Kanye posted a video where he rattled off a list of people who contributed to the CRUEL SUMMER album.....and Roscoe did not make the list.

In his tweets he said,

 

He also revealed that he wrote Wale's hit "Lotus Flower Bomb." Roscoe adds that in the industry you can't do people favors because they will "take" from you.  Hmm....

After his rant, and a phone call from Wale, he backed down and admitted he only wrote Wale's hook for the track. But he stood about being left of of Kanye's list.

So far............Kanye hasn't responded.  But, Wale did tweet, "Nighas be wellin on twitter."  He mentioned no names but we already know....

Rikers officer sues jail because of guards having 'rampant' sex at work... even though she had affair with a married warden

Sex among correction guards and supervisors is ‘rampant’ at New York’s notorious Rikers jail, according to a new lawsuit.

Correction officer Tomara Bryan, who herself had a relationship with a married guard, claims that illicit liaisons are common between Rikers' workers, occur during work hours, and argues that female officers are being unfairly treated as a result.

Miss Bryan claims that lots of workers at the jail have trysts together but it is only the women involved who are discriminated against. The women in the liaisons are held to a double standard by their female supervisors because they are seen as initiating the affairs, she argues.

In the lawsuit, which was filed on Monday in Bronx Supreme Court, Bryan alleges that her female bosses verbally and physically abused her after they discovered that she was having an affair with Emmanuel Bailey.

After her supervisors found out about their relationship around July 2010, they unfairly disciplined her, forced her to take a ‘bogus’ drug test and sent her on 'dangerous' tasks, Bryan claims.

Despite Bryan’s alleged treatment, bosses never punished Bailey for the relationship, the suit claims.

The lawsuit comes almost seven months after Bailey was arrested on assault and harassment charges. Bryan accused Bailey in February of beating her up during their two-year affair, reported the New York Post. 

Bailey allegedly punched Bryan in the face, kicked her in the stomach, punched a hole in the wall of her Brooklyn apartment, tore down a door frame and threatened to kill her over the phone, according to a criminal complaint.

Bailey, who retired from the DOC a day after his arrest, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct on Wednesday and received a conditional discharge. He was ordered to stay away from Bailey for two years.

Bryon, who has Bailey’s first name tattooed at the base of her back, claims that her relationship with Bailey started in July 2010 and ended shortly before his arrest for assault.

Bailey told DNAinfo that he was separated from his wife during his relationship with Bryan and said his divorce came through in April.

Bailey, a grandfather, also said that he took a plea deal to avoid a trial and was never physically abusive to Bryan while they lived together.

'Ask the neighbours. They had no complaints, except for the lovemaking,' he told DNAInfo.

Bailey added that Bryan went to police because he broke up with her, pointing out that she reported the abuse five months after it is alleged to have happened.

Monday’s lawsuit claims that Bryan complained about her treatment to the DOC's office of equal employment opportunity in October 2011.

The suit claims those complaints were dismissed as ‘unsubstantiated.’ Then , in March this year, Bryan filed a discrimination charge with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the suit claims.

After Bailey’s February arrest, Bryan’s supervisors allegedly further discriminated against her. They sent her to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, claimed she violated the sick-leave policy and underpaid her, the suit says.

Is Khloe and Lamar’s Marriage in Trouble?

*An old round of rumors surrounding the marriage of Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom is being reheated and rehashed.

Again, word has it that the NBA player has had enough of the reality show cameras in their home, and this time – sources tell HollywoodLife – Odom has put his foot down.

The sources claim he gave Kardashian an ultimatum, telling her that either the cameras go or he does. Sources also told the site that Odom was so fed up with the cameras constantly following him that he packed his bags and went to Las Vegas for a week.

However, the GossipCop.com, which touts itself as a rumor-busting website, says none of these reports are true. They report that the couple is currently living in Los Angeles, where Odom is training with the Clippers.  Filming on the current “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” season wrapped weeks ago, filming on the next season of “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami” begins later this month, and cameras haven’t rolled for  the in-limbo show “Khloe & Lamar” in months. And therefore, notes GossipCop, rumors that Odom left because of cameras are ridiculous.

The website also points out that the couple appears to be happy — with Khloe tweeting a photo of Odom in bed, with the caption “My sleeping prince.”

The utter cuteness that is Violet Nash made a beeline for the sand & sun as soon as mommy Christina Milian finished her swimsuit show work.
Flaunting her abs and petite curves, the singer and the social networker for "The Voice" hit Miami Beach yesterday afternoon in another sexy swimsuit. Earlier this week news broke that Micheal Jackson's siblings, Randy, Jermaine, Janet, Tito and Rebbie were challenging Michael's will and demanding the executors of Michael Jackson's Estate step down immediately [click here if you missed that].

Sources connected with the Estate are now lashing back, telling TMZ they believe Randy and Jermaine (they are not including the others) are strapped for cash and know when Katherine dies there is no way they can get their hands on a penny of MJ's fortune -- that's because all of the money goes to charity and in trust for Michael's 3 kids.
Our sources believe ... Randy and Jermaine are trying to make it appear that Katherine is infirm and may need a conservatorship. And the sources further believe Randy and Jermaine will try and get themselves appointed as her conservators, which would give them access to more than $70,000 a month.
We know Katherine's people have denied she had a stroke. As for the Estate failing miserably, it seems like bad timing, because new court docs just revealed the Estate has grossed nearly half a billion dollars, wiping out MJ's massive debt.

The Feds Claim Swizz Beatz About Owner Ship Of Mega-UpLoad & Facing Jail Time

It looks like Mr. Beats is back in hot water when its comes to the feds. RhymesWithSnitch reports Swizz Beatz got caught up in the Mega Upload piracy case, because he was listed as the company owner. People aways know what your name is attached to.
Swizz was quick to deny ownership, but the Feds say that he’s lying… OH NO!!!!

MTV News reports:When file-sharing website Megaupload was shuttered for rampant piracy in January, the company’s presumed CEO Swizz Beatz appeared to be cleared of responsibility because his role was loose and unfinalized. Now, the federal government is claiming that Swizzy, real name Kasseem Dean, was in fact involved with the company and they are specifically using his involvement in an attempt to try the case in the United States.
Swizz was listed on the site as CEO when it was taken down and had been vocal about his role and support prior the bust. Afterwards, though, his lawyer claimed that his involvement was more of an endorsement and that Dean had no real role in running daily operations of the service.

That appears untrue. According to U.S. attorney Neil MacBridge, Swizz represented Megaupload in front of the United States Trade Representative in December 2011, which indicates he was officially involved and gives the opportunity for the federal government to try a case against the maligned site within the country.

A few weeks ago, Frank Ocean shocked his fans, some of the hip-hop world and the public by announcing that sexually he was attracted to men. It’s debatable on if he’s bi-sexual or gay (I think that most of us could care less, but maybe I’m wrong), as he didn’t label himself, but much of the public found his declaration courageous. A number of celebrities (Beyonce included) vocally spoke out and supported him. Since then, Ocean has released his new album (channel ORANGE) and has remained mum about his sexual orientation (outside of a tweet here or there). And over the weekend, the Guardian shared Ocean’s first public interview, since his announcement, where he chats about what motivated him to open up.

Peep a few excerpts below:

On the mysterious persona that he gives off:

“It’s not formulaic…It’s not me necessarily trying to preserve mystique. It’s who I am. It’s how I prefer to move. I really don’t think that deeply about it at all, I swear I don’t. I’m just existing.”

On being labeled ‘risky’ or fearless:

“I won’t touch on risky, because that’s subjective…People are just afraid of things too much. Afraid of things that don’t necessarily merit fear. Me putting Nostalgia out … what’s physically going to happen? Me saying what I said on my Tumblr last week? Sure, evil exists, extremism exists. Somebody could commit a hate crime and hurt me. But they could do the same just because I’m black. They could do the same just because I’m American. Do you just not go outside your house? Do you not drive your car because of the statistics? How else are you limiting your life for fear?”

On if he considers himself courageous for ‘coming out of the closet’, per say:

“I don’t know…A lot of people have said that since that news came out. I suppose a percentage of that act was because of altruism; because I was thinking of how I wished at 13 or 14 there was somebody I looked up to who would have said something like that, who would have been transparent in that way. But there’s another side of it that’s just about my own sanity and my ability to feel like I’m living a life where I’m not just successful on paper, but sure that I’m happy when I wake up in the morning, and not with this freakin’ boulder on my chest.”

On what motivated him to open to the world about his sexuality:

“I knew that I was writing in a way that people would ask questions…I knew that my star was rising, and I knew that if I waited I would always have somebody that I respected be able to encourage me to wait longer, to not say it till who knows when….It was important for me to know that when I go out on the road and I do these things, that I’m looking at people who are applauding because of an appreciation for me…I don’t have many secrets, so if you know that, and you’re still applauding … it may be some sort of sick validation but it was important to me. When I heard people talking about certain, you know, ‘pronouns’ in the writing of the record, I just wanted to – like I said on the post – offer some clarity; clarify, before the fire got too wild and the conversation became too unfocused and murky.”

On why he decided against changing some of the pronouns (from ‘he’ to ‘she’) in some of his lyrics:

“When you write a song like Forrest Gump, the subject can’t be androgynous. It requires an unnecessary amount of effort. I don’t fear anybody … … at all. So, to answer your question, yes, I could have easily changed the words. But for what? I just feel like it’s just another time now. I have no interest in contributing to that, especially with my art. It’s the one thing that I know will outlive me and outlive my feelings. It will outlive my depressive seasons.”

On how parts of his upbringing and family, influence some of the subjects of his current album:

“I mean, ‘experience’ is an interesting word. I just bear witness. For a song like Crack Rock, my grandfather, who had struggled to be a father for my mum and my uncle … his second chance at fatherhood was me. In his early-20s, he had a host of problems with addiction and substance abuse. When I knew him, he was a mentor for the NA and the AA groups. I used to go to the meetings and hear these stories from the addicts – heroin and crack and alcohol. So stories like that influence a song like that…I have actual pimps in my family in LA…It was fantasy built off that dynamic … but you can only write what you know to a point.”

Gymnast Gabby Douglas Nabs Sports Illustrated Cover With TEAM USA!

The Olympic gymnast ladies have taken over the Sports Illustrated Olympic Preview issue. It's the first time in SI history that an entire US gymnastics team has made the cover. And Gabby Douglas is stepping into the spotlight.

The Women's Gymnastics Team is getting the shine these days. And with YBF chick Gabby Douglas front and center in the limelight, we're loving it.

SI was considering making Michael Phelps & the swim team or the basketball Dream Team the cover subjects, but the ladies won out.

16-year-old Gabby moved from VA to Iowa to train with Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson's coach, Liang Chow (she also trained at the famed Karolyi Ranch). She was also featured on an NBC special Thursday night about her journey from nearly giving up on her sport to winning the Olympic Trials on July 1. It includes the sacrifices her mother and sister made so she could continue training.

Gabby's teammates Jordyn Wieber, Aly Raisman, Kyla Ross and McKayla Maroney are all featured on the cover as well.

Cee Lo Postpones Vegas Residency

Back in March Cee Lo Green announced he would be performing in residence at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas starting in August
Not long after Cee Lo began hinting around that he was getting sick of judging contestants on The Voice, seemingly setting up his exit [click here if you missed that].

Looks like The Voice won out...

In a message to fans Cee Lo writes,
"It's always been a dream of mine to be among the great music legends who have had a Las Vegas residency and I was very much looking forward to launching 'Loberace' this year. But as we move into the third season of 'The Voice,' with my dedicated commitment to the filming schedule and love for my role on the show, I will need to postpone the opening of 'Loberace' to early 2013."
"Most importantly, to all my fans who have already purchased tickets, please accept my sincerest apology and I hope you can still join me in Vegas next year, so I can properly and finally introduce you to my brainchild."

Heavy D Took On William Shakespeare In Final Movie Role ‘H4′

Earlier this year we lost one of Hip Hops pioneers but threw the magic of film we get to see him doing his thing one more time. Sources reports the last film shot by late rapper Heavy D is set to be released in 2013, reports Sister 2 Sister magazine.

The rapper, born Dwight Arrington Myers, plays Archbishop Scroop in “H4,”a modern take on William Shakespeare’s Henry IV.

His co-star Terrell Tilford told Sister 2 Sister that Heav had some reservations about taking the role because of the film’s language. He recalls telling Heavy D, “The language is really the same. We all speak in a particular rhythm. Just trust it.”
The late entertainer agreed to tackle the task and with help from Tilford and fellow cast member Harry Lennix, he was able to pull off the role.
Tilford says, “We just hammered it out, worked through it, and the brother turned in a beautiful performance.”

“H4” is expected to be released in the spring.

The Jamaican born artist put his hometown of Mt. Vernon on the map musically but tinsel town loved him just the same.

One of his first small screen appearances was on an episode of “A Different World” as himself and as Fatz Turner on the TV series “Booker.”
His most recent role on the big screen was in the Eddie Murphy and Ben Stiller comedy Tower Heist.

Take a look back on the acting career of Dwight “Heavy D” Myers. Rest In Peace. Back In 1990 the rapper was on ”Booker” as Fatz Turner. Then in 1993 he was on one of my favorite show ”Roc” as Calvin Frazier. 1995 Heavy hit up was featured on New Jersey Drive as Bo-Kane.

Tiki Barber MARRIES Traci Lynn Johnson At CITY HALL In NYC

Tiki Barber and fiance Traci Lynn Johnson were spotted walking into City Hall where they were later married.
Eight days after his divorce from Ginny became final, Tiki Barber married former NBC intern Traci Lynn Johnson at City Hall in NYC.

The pair tied the knot at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau where Tiki said, “It’s a great day. “We’re finally getting married.” 

The nuptials were attended by Tiki's twin brother Ronde and a close family friend. Afterwards, Tiki and Traci were joined at Le Cirque for a private dinner with friends. He tweeted,
Me, my new bride and our closest @lecirquenyc. Thank you for making our day special.
