Pics From Donald Lawrence 20 Year Anniversary Recording

You could not help but to feel an air of excitement upon arrival at Living Word Christian Center in Forest Park, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago) — for Donald Lawrence 20 Year Anniversary Live Recording. Those present to help celebrate the industry vet, who is often times described as the pastor of music —

included Gospel legends, Karen Clark Sheard, Richard Smallwood, Edwin Hawkins, and Vanessa Bell-Armstrong; R&B divas, Kelly Price, Faith Evans, Coko, and Lalah Hathaway; and former Donald Lawrence singers, who have gone on to obtain solo success, DeWayne Woods, Anita Wilson, Sheri Jones-Moffett. See photos and read a first hand experience about the evening below

The first song of the evening was Beautiful Feet which featured Donald Lawrence on lead and dance performance from the famed choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson. Donald being known for his intellectual and inspiring message took us back to chart topping hit Blessing of Abraham for the second song..

From there he transition into a set of songs that featured some vocalist as big as the lyrics that Donald Lawrence pens. A sure highlight of the evening consisted of the reunion of dynamic duo Ted & Sheri, on the song Celebrate.

The energy did not drop in the room as Coko of R&B sensation SWV came and delivered on Mighty God. The crowd was in awe as she soared into her signature soprano range.

The sweet heart of contemporary Christian music Natalie Grant came in with such a pure sound and spirit and sung lead on the ballad, God. After that song, Donald took the time to remind those in transition that while there, God will hold your position. After sharing a little about his victory in a battle with cancer.

Singer Rudy Currence, who is a cousin of Lawrence — sat down at the keyboard and performed his own interpretation of the song that his cousin penned for the Clark Sister’s, Instrument.

This set up the song that Lawrence explained was inspired by his Pastor Bill Winston like many others in his body of work, The Gift (his current radio single).

Other highlights were: R&B Diva Faith Evans came to the stage and gave a stellar performance of Say A Prayer.

Staying in the vein of prayer, gospel legend Vanessa Bell Armstrong reminded us of the Good News. It got so good that Armstrong and Lawrence played off of each other and reprised the song with the audience joining in on the chemistry.

Feeling right it lead us right into what seemed to be the anthem and hit of the evening There Remaineth A Rest, a song that Lawrence stated was inspired by a message from mega Pastor Creflo Dollar. The upbeat song was well received, but it was the organ heavy reprise interpretation of the song that reminded you of Sunday morning where the audience and Lawrence got stuck.

As a tribute to one of his mentors Andrae Crouch, Lawrence featured the ladies of the Company doing classic Quiet Times.

Any lover of music would be ecstatic about the results of Lalah Hathaway and Lawrence joining forces. Hathaway did an awesome job painting the picture of the Ultimate Relationship, a song originally written for Mary J. Blige.

R&B Diva Kelly Price came in and did Lawrence classic When The Saints Go To Worship. Always amazing to hear her vocal styling and to see the church girl enjoy the message she sings about.

Lawrence promised the crowd to hold on that they had just two more songs and that they would go out with a bang. So why not introduce a new version of Lawrence favorite Giants featuring powerhouses Karen Clark-Sheard and Kierra Sheard. Lawrence took time to tell the audiences that Karen Clark-Sheard will be returning to Chicago Monday, September 9, 2013 to record her next project live with him in the producer’s chair.

To close out the night Lawrence called his friend and one third of the brat pack Bishop Hezekiah Walker to the stage where they did their duet You Covered Me with a fresh new groove.

It was an evening that truly represented and celebrated the 20-year journey of Donald Lawrence. Look forward to the release of Donald Lawrence 20th Anniversary in stores 9.24.13.

Faith Evans Premieres ‘Dumb’ Video

R&B Diva, Faith Evans premieres her new video for the song entitled “Dumb” which is pulled from the album R&B Divas. Faith tells her unfaithful man “toodle-loo” in the video. She jams with her band in the ’70s-themed clip and sits atop a candy red Mustang.

Chris Paul & His Wife Jada Dine At BOA Steakhouse In West Hollywood

NBA Baller, Chris Paul, and his wife Jada stepped out for dinner earlier this week, at BOA Steakhouse in West Hollywood.

Jada pulled her hair up into a sleek ponytail, and rock’d a gray and white sleeveless top, white denim jeans, and a pair of black sandals – while her hubby dined in a long-sleeve denim button down, gold pants, and leopard print sneakers. Pink Slip Problems: Did Radio Personality Kay Foxx Get Fired From Popular NYC Radio?

Rumors are running that radio personality, Kay Foxx, turned reality star (of ‘Gossip Game’) has either been fired or quit her full-time gig. The NY native is on the morning show of New York radio station, Hot 97. It’s all speculation at this point, but allegedly she was either fired or quit this week. You’ll recall her hard at work, on VH1′s new reality show ‘Gossip Game’, where she had a few  issues with her colleagues and boss Ebro. Anywho, specifically, her departure went down on Thursday (June 20th). Vibe Vixen shares that one of her alleged, co-star Ms. Drama (or JasFly, depending on reports) is set to take over Foxx’s responsibilities.

Now, JasFly shared the following statement with VV:

I love K. She’s incredibly talented and I’m excited to see what’s next for her.

Meanwhile, Ebro tweeted Friday morning that he would NEVER replace Kay with someone from the show.

Clearly, this didn’t sit too well with JasFly, who went on to tweet:

I’m all for respecting legends. But what I won’t do is allow legends to disrespect me.

Now as to why Kay is leaving, that is still unconfirmed. Some are saying because of the issues (some of them we saw on ‘Gossip Game’) that she’s had with her all-male colleagues, while other suggest it was time for her to move on.

What we do know is radio is VERY cut throat. I’m sure you’ve heard some of your favorite on-air personalities on Thursday, and the woke-up with their disappearance on last Friday. Nonetheless, stay tuned!

Serena Williams Braves The "Rape Comment" Backlash, Hits The Pre-Wimbledon Party In London

Serena Williams has had a major few weeks of headlines.  After winning the French Open for the second time earlier this month, folks were outraged by her comments about the Steubenville High School rape case in her latest Rolling Stone interview...

In a tight white mini dress with a front black zipper trim, Serena's fave style it seems, the fab tennis pro threw on her doll-like wiggery (which she could have kept honestly) to hit the annual pre-Wimbledon party at Kensington Roof Gardens in London.

But it was her recent comments she made to Rolling Stone about the high school boys in Steubenville, OH who were accused of raping a teen girl.  People said she was victim-blaming when she spoke up saying the victim was "lucky" (likely meaning lucky something worse didn't happen) and that girls should be taught how not to get themselves in situations like those (being drunk and not in control).

I'm not blaming the girl, but if you're a 16-year-old and you're drunk like that, your parents should teach you—don't take drinks from other people. She's 16, why was she that drunk where she doesn't remember? It could have been much worse. She's lucky. Obviously I don't know, maybe she wasn't a virgin, but she shouldn't have put herself in that position, unless they slipped her something, then that's different."

Serena's most recent statement alluded to her words being misconstrued by RS.  She said:

"What happened in Steubenville was a real shock for me. I was deeply saddened. For someone to be raped, and at only sixteen, is such a horrible tragedy! For both families involved — that of the rape victim and of the accused. I am currently reaching out to the girl's family to let her know that I am deeply sorry for what was written in the Rolling Stone article. What was written — what I supposedly said — is insensitive and hurtful, and I by no means would say or insinuate that she was at all to blame.

"I have fought all of my career for women's equality, women's equal rights, respect in their fields — anything I could do to support women I have done. My prayers and support always goes out to the rape victim. In this case, most especially, to an innocent sixteen year old child."

And despite all the backlash from the media and the masses, Serena stepped out with confidence

R&B Divas’ Syleena Johnson Wants Iyanla Vanzant to Fix Her Life

Iyanla Vanzant continues to fix folks life in a her popular OWN show, ‘Iyanla: Fix My Life‘. Next week, she returns with a new season, visiting one of our favorite singer turned reality TV stars, Syleena Johnson of ‘R&B Divas’. So what exactly will Iyanla be ‘fixing’? She’s taking her talents down to the ‘A’, to help mend the volatile relationship between Syleena and her mother.

If you’ve watched season two of the TV One show, then you’ve seen these two (mother and daughter) in action. The new season premiers, July 27th.

The New Nike Air Foamposite One “Thermal Map” [PHOTOS]

Nike is gearing up to make this a hot summer not only with the release of the "Weatherman," but with the "Thermal Map" Foamposites, too.

Keeping with the environmental theme, the "Thermal Maps" has red pixelated blots decorating its white upper. With an all-black inner lining, the shoe has all red sole rounding it out and is reminiscent of last year's "Bright Crimson" Foamposite. While its commendable that Nike has taken to use the Foamposite silhouette as a canvas and moved past from using solid colors to full fledged designs, it leaves much more to be desired.  Try as they may, the house that Phil Knight built has yet to rekindle what made the space-inspired "Galaxy" Foamposite so coveted.

The "Thermal Maps" are scheduled for a September 28 release for $250.00…Thoughts?

Is Suge Knight Cashing In On His R&B Diva?

Michel’le Toussant has barely reemerged in her newly landed ‘R&B Divas L.A.’ gig, but Suge Knight’s reported to already have his eyes set on the singer’s TV One paycheck.

According to HSK Suge Knight is claiming “he’s broke” to his baby momma, Michel’le. We’re told the ‘R&B Diva’ feels obligated to provide Suge with financial support. Know why? Because Michel’le is said to have her heart set on having Suge Knight make a cameo appearance on the show, airing in July.

But wait she has a child from Dr Dre and Suge????? NOT CUTE!

Billboard Illustrates Jay-Z’s Blueprint,

Jay-Z’s artistic and business blueprint remains a focal point. The the 43-year-old has snagged a recent cover illustrating his hustle on Billboard. By now I'm sure you're aware of Jay-Z's upcoming album Magna Carta Holy Grail. With a release date only about two weeks away, Billboard Magazine decided to put Hov on the cover of their latest issue.

Inside the issue, Billboard will be breaking down the deal that Jay-Z and Samsung recently worked out, and what it means for the music industry. The story will hit Billboard.com tomorrow at 9AM. In other recent news regarding the album, it was just announced that Soundscan will NOT be counting album sales for the first million fans through their app. Which originally brought up the topic of Hov going platinum before the album official drops, but that will not be the case.

‘Good Times" IS HEADED BACK TO HOLLYWOOD!

Iconic sitcom "Good Times" is headed back to Hollywood. Sony Pictures and producer Rick Rubin have announced plans to turn one of TV's most memorable sitcoms into a major motion picture. But by the time the script makes in through Hollywood...it's going to look a little different from reruns.

While the landmark series was set on Chicago's Southside in the 1970s, according to movie insiders, Sony and Rick have hired writer Phil Johnston to set the movie version of "Good Times" in the 1960s.

So far, the film is in its early stage and doesn't have any big names attached to it....but that could be a good thing. So much fuss has been made about castings in Black films lately, with people up in arms about Zoe Saldana as Nina Simone and Lenny Kravtiz as Marvin Gaye (before he was replaced by Jesse L. Martin), we think the producers should take their time.   PLEASE don't mess this ish up.  You DO NOT want to go wrong with this casting!

 Its going to take a special lady to re-create Florida Evans.  And someone truly funny has to play the role of J.J. Evans.  So....good luck with that.

The Steubenville 2 GUILTY OF RAPE!

A judge announced on Sunday that the defendants in the Steubenville rape trial were found guilty.

Trent Mays and Ma'lik Richmond had been accused of sexually assaulting a female acquaintance while she was severely intoxicated. Video and photo footage from the night of the incident spread across the internet soon after, drawing national attention to the case.

Mays and Richmond, both football players at Steubenville High School, received delinquent verdicts on all three charges. Delinquent is the guilty equivalent for juveniles. They were both convicted of digitally penetrating the West Virginia girl, and Mays was also found guilty of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material. The boys will serve their sentence at a juvenile detention facility until they turn 21.

The defendants and their family members openly wept at the verdict.

The victim, who has not been identified, testified in court on Saturday that she did not remember the attack, but that she remembered waking up naked in a house she did not recognize. Other members of the small Ohio community also testified against the defendants.

Two members of the high school football team that is the pride of Steubenville were found guilty Sunday of raping a drunken 16-year-old girl in a case that bitterly divided the Rust Belt city and led to accusations of a cover-up to protect the community's athletes.

Steubenville High School students Trent Mays and Ma'Lik Richmond face a possible sentence of detention in juvenile jail until they turn 21, capping a case that came to light via a barrage of morning-after text messages, social media posts and online photos and video.

Both broke down in tears after the verdict was read.

Mays, 17, and Richmond, 16, were charged with digitally penetrating the West Virginia girl, first in the back seat of a moving car after an alcohol-fueled party on Aug. 11, and then in the basement of a house. Mays was also found guilty on a charge of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material.

The case roiled the community amid allegations that more students should have been charged and led to questions about the influence of the local football team, a source of a pride in a community of 18,000 that suffered massive job losses with the collapse of the steel industry. Their arms linked, protesters stood outside the courthouse Sunday morning awaiting the verdict, some wearing masks.

The trial opened last week as a contest between prosecutors determined to show the girl was so drunk she couldn't have been a willing participant that night, and defense attorneys soliciting testimony from witnesses that would indicate that the girl, though drunk, knew what she was doing.

The teenage girl testified Saturday that she could not recall what happened the night of the attack but remembered waking up naked in a strange house after drinking at a party. The girl said she recalled drinking, leaving the party holding hands with Mays and throwing up later. When she woke up, she said she discovered her phone, earrings, shoes, and underwear were missing, she testified.

"It was really scary," she said. "I honestly did not know what to think because I could not remember anything."

The girl said she believed she was assaulted when she later read text messages among friends and saw a photo of herself taken that night, along with a video that made fun of her and the alleged attack. She said she suspected she had been drugged because she couldn't explain being as intoxicated as defense witnesses have said she was.

"They treated her like a toy," said special prosecutor Marianne Hemmeter.

Evidence introduced at the trial included graphic text messages sent by numerous students after the night of the party, including by the accuser, containing provocative descriptions of sex acts and obscene language. Lawyers noted during the trial how texts have seemed to replace talking on the phone for contemporary teens. A computer forensic expert called by the state documented tens of thousands of texts found on 17 phones seized during the investigation.

The girl herself recalled being in a car later with Mays and Richmond and asking them what happened.

"They kept telling me I was a hassle and they took care of me," she testified. "I thought I could trust him (Mays) until I saw the pictures and video."

In questioning her account, defense attorneys went after her character and credibility. Two former friends of the girl testified that the accuser had a history of drinking heavily and was known to lie.

"The reality is, she drank, she has a reputation for telling lies," said lawyer Walter Madison, representing Richmond.

The two girls testified they were angry at the accuser because she was drinking heavily at the party and rolling around on the floor. They said they tried unsuccessfully to get her to stop drinking.

The accuser said that she does not remember being photographed as she was carried by Mays and Richmond, an image that stirred up outrage, first locally, then globally, as it spread online. Others have testified the photo was a joke and the girl was conscious when it was taken.

The photograph led to allegations that three other boys, two of them members of Steubenville High's celebrated Big Red team, saw something happening that night and didn't try to stop it but instead recorded it.

The three boys weren't charged, fueling months of online accusations of a cover-up to protect the team, which law enforcement authorities have vehemently denied.

Instead, the teens were granted immunity to testify, and their accounts helped incriminate the defendants. They said the girl was so drunk she didn't seem to know what was happening to her and confirmed she was digitally penetrated in a car and later on a basement floor.

Ohio's attorney general planned to announce later Sunday whether additional charges will be brought in the case, including against the three other boys.

Mays and Richmond were determined to be delinquent, the juvenile equivalent of guilty, Judge Thomas Lipps ruled in the juvenile court trial without a jury.

The Associated Press normally doesn't identify minors charged in juvenile court, but Mays and Richmond have been widely identified in news coverage, and their names have been used in open court. The AP also does not generally identify people who say they were victims of sex crimes.

Nicki Minaj Gets Playful For “ELLE” Magazine; Interviews Herself

Nicki Minaj recently took on the role of Nicki the superstar - and an inquisitive young reporter as well - when interviewing herself in a mock interview for ELLE magazine. After gracing the mag’s cover two years ago, the Young Money star is back; rockin’ the April 2013 issue.

During the interview, reporter Nicki lets the entertainer know that she can add anything she likes, to make it fun for her… like blurting out random things, and the entertainer’s response was - “I’m gonna be artificially inseminated, so I don’t ever have sex with anyone.”

And on a serious note, Nicki talks being bullied as a child; “I went through a lot of bullying early on. Girls made my life a living hell.”

She also added that her new toned look was a little scary for her during this shoot; “To go in front of the camera, without pink lips or big ol’ crazy lashes – you know, nothing – I felt naked. It was scary! So this photo shoot was a real accomplishment in my eyes.”

The issue hits newsstands March 26.

12-Year-Old Hands Out 20K To Classmates

Police are still investigating how a 12-year-old girl from Taylor, Michigan, came to possess a backpack stuffed with $20,000 in cash.

According to local police chief Mary Sclabassi, the unnamed Sixth Grade Academy student had brought the backpack to school with her and had been handing out large sums of money to her classmates when she got caught by school officials.

Police say the girl generously handed out $100 bills to her classmates, with some students receiving as much as $500 each. The minimum amount doled out was $100.

“Large bills, $100 bills,” said Taylor Police Chief Mary Sclabassi.

“Had word gotten out to maybe someone other than some other 12-year-olds, it could have put her in a dangerous position.”  Sclabassi says some students got as much as $500 from the girl.

The girl told police she received the money from a boy who lived across the street from her parents’ home in Taylor, a suburb near Detroit.

“We’re talking with the family about how this happened and we’re glad that this ended safely for her and that it was retrieved,” she said.

Did Ashanti Shade Nelly?

As we all know, the couple that was Ashanti and Nelly is no more. And since the news of the breakup turned up on the internet, Nelly has been seen with a new lady on his arm in the form of actress, Tae Heckard.

The blogs have been going crazy with that news, but no one has heard a peep out of Ashanti. She has remained mum during this whole ordeal although her sister hasn't. In any event, Ashanti has been posting up some subliminal messages on her Instagram page and I'm wondering if those messages were aimed at Nelly?

Game Barack Obama Tattoo

Talk about some serious patriotism.

Rapper Game showed just how much love he has for our president by getting Barack Obama’s face tattooed right in the middle of his chest, above his latest “Compton” ink, last week.

REALITY FAB: SWV Heads To WeTV With A Reality TV Series!

Sisters With Voices (SWV) are the latest set of R&B divas who will be opening up their lives to reality tv audiences.  Member Taj George already did a reality show with her husband, Eddie George, a few years ago with their "I Married A Baller" show.  And the group's new series has just been announced among the new lineup of shows at WeTV (who also air "Braxton Family Values" "Mary, Mary" and "Tamar and Vince"). 

The unscripted docu-drama is produced by eOne Entertainment and will follow the group's new musical resurgence (they released their first album in 15 years, “I Missed Us”, in 2011).  And they'll also explore the off-stage dynamic between the ladies, including why the group broke up in the late 90′s.

For now, the show doesn't have an official title or release date, but the ladies shot the pilot for the series last fall.

NeYo Hit With Lawsuit By Former Baby Mama, Jesseca White

The sorta-kinda ex-baby mama of singer/producer Ne-Yo (real name Shaffer Chimere Smith) is taking her talents to court, crying foul play. Her name is Jesseca White and she and NeYo dated before he blew up. At the time of their relationship, she had a child by another man (in 2005), who NeYo claimed was his.

So what’s the issue? NeYo discussed his relationship with Jesseca on his VH1 ‘Behind the Music‘. According to TMZ, she feels like she was portrayed negatively, painted as

 ”an unchaste woman who deliberately tricked him into believing he was the father of her child … so that she could fraudulently bilk him of ‘ungodly amounts of money.’”

Jesseca says that because of the show, NeYo’s fans and the public have been aggressively negative towards her, calling her everything but a child of god. S

he’s also noted that her profession (as a graphic designer and photographer) has negatively suffered. She is suing for unspecified damages.

Justin Timberlake’s New Album Expected To Debut At Number One

Justin Timberlake’s new album “The 20/20 Experience” doesn’t drop until next week, but industry sources are already predicting that it will have a huge debut week.  The long-awaited album – his first in seven years – is expected to sell at least 500,000 copies in its first week, easily giving it the number one spot on the Billboard 200 when it debuts.

It would be Timberlake’s second solo album to debut at number one, as his “Future Sex/Love Sounds” sold 684,000 when it came out in 2006.  If “The 20/20 Experience” does break the 500,000 mark, Justin could score the best sales week for an album in four months.  It could also be only the fifth album to do so since the beginning of 2012, putting it in the company of Adele’s “21,” Taylor Swift’s “Red,” Mumford & Sons’ “Babel” and One Direction’s “Take Me Home.”

Should the sales come through as predicted, Justin won’t have anything to prove to Kanye West, who recently snubbed Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie” single with Jay-Z.

Winter Ramos Reveals She Cheated On Jadakiss With The Game

Winter Ramos is causing quite the stir in the Hip Hop world with her new book titled "Game Over" which is set to hit bookstands everywhere on April 1st. (Same day as "The Gossip Game" premieres but I digress!)

Anywho, in an exclusive excerpt obtained by AllHipHop.com, Winter Ramos recalls a time when she was waiting up for her man (back then) who was Jadakiss, but he never came back to the hotel. Since Jadakiss never showed, Winter Ramos decided to go hang out with rapper The Game who she calls corny.  -_-

Now I'm not one to judge cuz he who has no sin cast the first stone, but I think corny is when you right about your relationships with celebrities in a book for the world to see but I digress!

According to the excerpt, Winter described Game as “corny” when they spent time drinking and smoking together, after he kept calling her ghetto. The interesting part of the excerpt is that while she was getting wasted with Game, her mind was on Jadakisss, whose real name is Jason Phillips.

After leaving Game’s hotel room in hopes of Jadakiss being in another room and when he was not, the scorned woman sought revenge:

 “Jason wasn’t there and hadn’t been there. I got mad. What kind of business could he be handling that would keep him gone all night? Immediately, I jumped to the conclusion and figured he was with another b*tch, although he’d never played me like that before. Out of spite, I returned to Game’s room.”

According to the excerpt, even though the two entered a jacuzzi upon her return to the rapper’s room, they engaged in no sexual activity:

 “The moment seemed weird. There weren’t many times where I was with someone who just chilled in a situation like that.”

Word on the internet curb is that when Jadakiss heard Winter was coming out with her tell all book he texted her saying "Don't do it!"

Judge DENIES Michael Jordan's Request For Paternity Case Dismissal!

Michael Jordan's legal team headed to court to faceoff against Pamela Smith over a paternity claim.  And it wasn't the outcome MJ wanted.  The request for dismissal that Michael and his lawyer, John Mayoue, filed a few weeks ago was dismissed, Pamela's rep confirms to several news outlets.

Pamela claims her 16-year-old son is actually Michael's son.  And she's been going hard in the court system to prove it.

Now that Michael's request to dismiss her claim has been rejected in Fulton County Court, another court date will happen soon to determine if or when the basketball icon will need to take a paternity test.

Meanwhile, Michael and his fiance Yvette have recently filed for their marriage license in Florida.  They don't seem to be letting this case interfere with their approaching wedding.

Kenya Moore’s Ex Boyfriend, Walter Jackson, Blasts Bravo For Not Inviting Him to Reunion Show

Bravo TV has pissed Kenya Moore’s ex-boyfriend, Walter Jackson, all the way off. If you’ve followed this season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, you’ve watched this entire thing unfold. Long story short–Kenya and Walter broke up mid-season; Walter claims they were never ‘real boyfriend and girlfriend’. He’s asserted that Kenya asked him to play the role of her man, so that she’d be casted for the show. He later did a radio interview, spilling all sorts of tea. Kenya suggests that Walter is lying and just wants attention and stardom. Fast forward to the present day and the reunion show is going down this week. And guess who didn’t get an invitation to sit on the couch with Andy Cohen? 

Mr. Walter Jackson himself. He used his twitter platform, to vent his reality tv frustrations, writing:

Yeah I think TV meaning (Br_) is scared of me, they can’t control me and they can’t tell me what to say, So that’s y they WON’T INVITE me. I don’t think they want YOU to hear the truth about a certain person now that THEY KNOW the truth, but they will let her make up lies on air…Notice I’ve been real quiet for a while. But they keep on letting “you know who” lie and jab at me on air and want me to keep quiet!! WOW

Reginae Carter & Bria Williams Unveil “Paparazzi Princesses” Cover

Lil Wayne and Toya Wright’s daughter, Reginae Carter, and Birdman’s daughter, Bria Williams, penned a new teen novel, titled Paparazzi Princesses, with help from author Karyn Langhorne Folan - and are now giving a glimpse of the cover.

The storyline centers around two teens, Kyla Jones and Promise Walker, who both face the ups and downs of being “unintentionally famous” due to their parents.

Wayne and Birdman both spoke proudly of their daughters accomplishment saying;

Wayne: “I’ve got to be honest. It’s inspiring to see what these girls have done. It wasn’t easy, and they did it all by themselves. ‘Proud’ doesn’t even begin to describe how me and the ‘Birdman’ feel. I can’t wait for everybody else to experience their story.”

Birdman: “They took an idea, worked extremely hard, and brought it to life. It’s the kind of story that everybody can feel, and it’s only the start of much bigger things for these two wonderful young ladies.”

The book hits shelves on June 4, 2013 via Cash Money Content.

Teen Female Rapper Arrested Stealing Equipment

A 16-year-old girl was arrested Feb. 27 after police say she stole a microphone and recording equipment — claiming she needed the items because she is a rapper.

According to the police report, at 4:44 p.m. an officer was dispatched to a report of a retail theft in progress at Best Buy in the Riverpoint Shopping Center, 8755 N. Port Washington Rd.

Upon arriving, the officer observed three girls walking out of the store that fit a description of those involved in the incident. The officer told the three he needed to speak with them inside the store.

Once inside the store, the officer asked the 16-year-old to open a bag she was carrying and observed two boxes, one of which was a microphone box.

The officer then advised her she was under arrest for retail theft, and attempted to place handcuffs on her. She resisted, but was finally taken into custody.

Police say the store had surveillance video of the girl concealing the items — a $100 microphone and $200 recording interface. Best Buy security said they didn’t observe the other two girls steal anything.

Police also say the girl lied several times about her name. She was transported to the Fox Point Police Department where she told officers she stole the items because she is a rapper and finally gave officers her real name.

She was cited for retail theft, resisting and obstructing an officer by giving false information.

Letoya Luckett Celebrates Her 32nd Birthday

Team Hennessy kept the party going for LeToya Luckett as she continued her 32nd birthday celebration at the newly renovated Hollywood hot spot "Emerson Theatre".

LeToya arrived with a group of friends and was escorted through the packed venue and was immediately greeted by friends Kevin Hart, DeRay Davis (who planted a big wet one on her cheek), Damion Dante Wayans and a slew of Hennessy V.S bottles at her VIP table.

The night was filled with celebration as DJ Orator and DJ Dubz kept the packed club partying the night away and gave special shout outs to LeToya all evening. The starlet was singing and dancing the night away while enjoying Hennessy V.S specialty mixed drinks; The Inc’s very own Chris Gotti was also spotted at the packed club along with a group friends.

Looks like Chris is gearing up and preparing for the labels return when Ja Rule gets released which is some time in June.
