For all the glamor and glitter that defines the fashion industry, a dark cloud has has hovered above it for years – that cloud being a lack of racial diversity. Indeed, despite the ever-glowing achievements of supermodels such Iman, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, and Alec Wek, there remains a disproportionate number of models of color who are afforded similar opportunities.


Keen to action change, hat designer Philip Treacy staged a spectacle to remember last night during his London Fashion Week presentation. Enlisting only Black models, the Irishman showcased his SS2013 range with a Michael Jackson-inspired twist which saw some of the models (including Jourdan Dunn) rock the late King of Pop’s actual ensembles.Check out the stunning shots below…
