The 2013 BET AWARDS RED CARPET & WINNERS! ROUND-UP!

The 2013 BET AWARDS RED CARPET! ROUND-UP!
The 2013 BET Awards have come and gone.  But I've got all the red carpet fabulousness and Foolery to dive into Last Night of Celebs who made an appearance at the Nokia Theater.....
Let's kick this off now. Before he accepted his Humanitarian Award for his work with his Wade's World Foundation, Dwyane Wade escorted his "Beautiful Black Queen" (as he called her during his acceptance speech) Gabrielle Union down the red carpet. But Dwayne ENOUGH with the Loub Shoes...Okay?
The Think Like A Man Too & "Being Mary Jane" star looked fab in her curve hugging strapless red dress, Ruthie Davis Eastgate sandals and great makeup and hair.  The cast for Think Like A Man also walked away with an award by the end of the night.
Meagan Good said TO HELL with covering up with the usher board's prayer cloth during the gospel segment.  Because chick presented a gospel award rocking this extra deep plunging royal blue gown.  We know her hubby DeVon Franklin liked it, but sheesh.  She looks stunning as always though.
Speaking of stunning, Lauren London came out on the carpet and turned every head nearby.  Pretty all around.
Chris Brown quickly hit the carpet with his artist Sevyn Streeter.  Sevyn kept it sexy in an all white--the IT color on the carpet Sunday night--midriff baring look.
Ashanti rocked a sexy little white dress, one similar to Brandy's look for the night.
Cutie LeToya Luckett rocked her all-white jumper and mini red YSL purse.  Gorgeous as always.
Amber Rose, who rocked Versace, and her fiance Wiz Khalifa hit the red carpet for a parents' night out.  And got all kissy-faced for the cameras too. Y'all know everybody was yelling (in their heads) 'Get a room!'...
Tamar Braxton is looking all kinds of post-baby fabulous.  She took a break from newborn Logan to hit the Awards Sunday night.  And she even walked away with the Centric Award.  Nice!
Nicki Minaj gave body in her silky black gown with a dramatic lace overlay.
Before hitting the stage to perform, Ciara walked the red carpet in her silver Saint Laurent pumps, a leather pencil skirt and barely-there leather cop top as she posed it up with her man Future. Hot.
Brandy rocked a slightly sheer cream dress for her red carpet stint and her BET after party hosting gig.
Nelly was there for the "Real Husbands of Hollywood" TURN UP TIME. When rap doesn’t work anymore
Mya popped out the D.C. woodwork to make her way to L.A. in her all white look.  No clue where this chick has been, but she's still looking gorge.
Think Like A Man Too star Regina Hall kept it classy and fabulous in her all black look with a peek-a-boo sheer accent.
The newly single Ne-Yo helped his artist Ravaughn twirl her way onto the carpet in a Diego Dolcini dress and Barbara shoes.
LaLa showed off those ASSets on the carpet in a ruched soft pink dress and blue heels.  Chick must be on her squats game.
Big Sean was there and brought his girlfriend Naya Rivera along.
Michelle Williams helped co-host a red carpet show.  Pretty look for her, but she still looks like she's playing dress up in mommy's closet.
Paula Patton put down the liquor bottle and/or other ish long enough to hit this carpet.  Chick was on cloud nine and feeling EXTRA happy while presenting and doing interviews.  She and her hubby like some blurred lines alright....
JB Smoove of "RHOH" hit the carpet with his wife Shahidah Omar.
Bridget Kelly was a showstopper in this chartreuse Maria Lucia Hohan gown.
Elle Varner...is that a denim-like skirt?  Alrighty...
Chile...Beverly Johnson is not letting her Bad Chick title die anytime soon.  She is snatched from face to knuckle.  Work.
OOH LOOK IT'S TWINS!
J.Cole was on hand to perform a few tracks off his hit album Born Sinner.  And he rocked the ever popular Versace sweater. I'm sure DJ Drama knows all about that sweater.
Melanie Fiona rocked Black and white with MUCH leg and the matching purse all on display.  Loves it.
Bobby Brown hit the stage with his new "RHOH" co-stars after hitting the red carpet with his wife.
Master P and T.I. chopped it up on the carpet.
Janelle Monae rocked a classy stark white look with a fab embellishment for her turtle neck.
Gorgeous as always.
Lil Mama has done a complete 180.  This look is perfection on her.  Maybe it's the blonde hair, or maybe it's the adult version of clothes she's actually wearing these days.  But either way, please keep it up.
Gabrielle Douglas went home with two BET Awards while rocking this Sheri Hill dress with a major train.  Not loving it on her, but it's pretty nonetheless.
French Montana looked like he was headed to wrestling practice.
Boris Kodjoe rocked his own line of custom suits, World of Alfa.
And red carpet host Tony Rock looked dapper as well.
"The Game" star Jay Ellis brought his mom along for a fab night on the carpet.
Nope, 2 Chainz wasn't wearing a sweatshirt skirt.  It was a sweatshirt tied around his shorts.  Yep...we had to check on that one.
Robert Townsend brought his daughter Skye on the carpet.
Tatyana Ali kept it effortlessly sexy in this Lorena Sarbu dress and a stylish clutch by Lancaster.
Angela Simmons held down the BET red carpet pre-show with Bow Wow (how AWKWARD was it when Ciara came on for an interview and Bow Wow looked like he had been set up??) in this futuristic look.
Tamela and David Mann hit the carpet before Tamela performed "Take Me To the King."
Little Quvenzhane Wallis brought her staple puppy bag on the carpet.
WNBA living legend and model Lisa Leslie worked this black leather dress.
Jordin Sparks showed off her killer gams as usual in this bright printed body con dress.
Kendrick Lamar took over the night winning Awards and performing a killer set.
Miguel rocked the stage with his hit songs after walking the red carpet with girlfriend Nazanin.
El Debarge....seemed like a work in progress.  But he was on hand to introduce and present.
Yes, this is how Trinidad James walked the carpet before he performed at the pre-show. This guy...and those braids...
"Vampire Diaries" star and singer Kat Graham made a vampy appearance in head to toe Versace.
Angela Bassett was stunning as always.
Did y'all see her dancing it up in the audience to A$AP's "Problems"?
And Adrienne Bailon gave us bold red curvy sex appeal as she hosted the BET Awards Style pre-show.
And Ron Isley hit the carpet with his wife.
Nice.

Now there were good perfomances But R Kelly and Janelle & Eryakah ROCKED!
Wearing a studded hat and jacket that would have ton your outfit to shreds had you given him a hug, R. Kelly performed a medley of his hits including "Trapped In The Closet", "12 Play,' "You Remind Me" and "Ignition."  Take a stoll down memory lane--with a choir.

Also Janelle Monae indeed put on a SHOW to close out the 2013 BET Awards.  She rocked the stage with her new single "Q.U.E.E.N." and brought out her collabo partner Ms. Badu.

The Daily Buzz For July 1

R.I.P. Jim Kelly
The martial arts grandmaster who starred alongside Bruce Lee in the iconic 1973 film Enter The Dragon died yesterday. He was 67. His ex-wife confirmed his death in a Facebook post. Jim Kelly was an international karate champion with his own school in LA when he was cast in the kung fu classic billed as “the first American-produced martial arts spectacular. His fighting skills and imposing screen presence — a lanky 6-foot-2 topped by a funky Afro — earned Kelly the title role in 1974′s Black Belt Jones. After that, he appeared in numerous action films through the ’70s. Later he became a professional tennis player, joining the USTA Senior Men’s Circuit and starred alongside LeBron James in a 2004 Nike TV ad.
R.I.P Mr Kelly!

Mariah Carey Announces ‘The Art of Letting Go’ Pushed Back
Following the unexpected leak of the album title, and the previously confirmed released date, Mariah Carey is taking a step back and has decided she is not quite ready to release her album in July.
‘The Art of Letting Go’ was originally scheduled to hit stores on July 23, but has now been pushed back to an undisclosed date.
The Pop diva made the announcement via Twitter. “While making this album, I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don’t feel I would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23,” tweeted Mariah. “I’d rather not exclude meaningful songs. I want to give you this album as it’s meant to be heard. When I’m ready, you’ll be the first 2 know!”

We were curious after she was recently in the studio with Young Jeezy and Mike WiLL Made It, see here. In addition the LP is expected to boast collaborations with hitmakers including Jermaine Dupri and Bryan Michael Cox, Rodney Jerkins, Hit-Boy, The-Dream, and more.
Her first single, the Miguel-assisted “#Beautiful” is currently No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and she shared a picture in Capri shooting another video with Miguel earlier this month.
Mariah is set to perform at the BET Awards on June 30 and the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular on July 4.

While making this album, I got so immersed in the creative process that I just don’t feel I would be doing it justice to release it on 7/23.

TV SET FABULOUS: Tamar Braxton SHOWS Her Post-Baby Bod While REHEARSING For "The Real"
Although it's only been a few weeks since Tamar Braxton gave birth to son Logan Vincent Herbert, the new mommy is already back to work.  She showed off her post-baby body while on the set with her co-hosts Tamera Mowry-Housley, Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, & Jeannie Mai.
The ladies are in LA prepping for the national debut of the newest & most diverse daily panel talk "The Real" which starts its test run on July 15 in LA, NY, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Houston and Tampa.

And the female bonding seems to be going very well as Jeannie Mai tweeted,
NICE!

Tamera Mowry-Housley POST NEW PICS With Adam And SON Aden
Tamar's fellow co-host Tamera Mowry Housley posted pics of her family on a getaway to Yountville last weekend....the same place she and Adam got married.

"Last weekend, Adam and I took a weekend trip to Yountville. We love this place – it’s where we got married and there’s nowhere else where I feel more at peace. This trip though, we had a brand new addition to the family – Aden! I can’t believe how fast time has gone by. I can remember visualizing bringing my son or daughter to this very spot on the day Adam and I got married. And now taking Aden to his second home just takes it to a whole other level. When we visited the spot, I just had to take a picture!"
During the trip, Aden top his first dip in the pool his dad.  "It was such a surreal feeling. All I can say is that every day I fall more and more in love with my baby boy. I love being a mommy!! And it doesn’t hurt that I’ve got an amazing hubby to help me along the way :)"
And don't worry about Aden getting any sunburn. Tamera took care of that, "Soaking up the sunshine and lovin’ life…made sure he had SPF on first!"
This baby is absolutely ADORBS.

New Music: Prince feat. Ledisi – Ain’t Gonna Miss U (When U’re Gone)
Oh lord. What a combo. As you should know by now, Prince is officially back, and he continues to release new music! The icon has liberated the new signle “Ain’t Gonna Miss U (When U’re Gone),” which features Ledisi.

The Grammy-nominated vocalist joins the Purple One on this pure funk classic. Reminiscent of the Prince we all love. The horns and reverberating bassline and funky worm vocal effects will have you undeliably bobbin along. Along with his collaborations with his female rock band 3rd Eye Girl, you can hear Prince on Janelle Monae’s upcoming album The Electric Lady.

Take a listen to the new record:
NICE!

The Dream Goes On Twitter Rant About His Album Sales, Shades J. Cole
I need for Dream to have so many seats that it’s ridiculous, why did he go on a Twitter Rant all because someone pointed out that his album sold nothing and was a flop, so of course he started ranting to no end…. Then proceeds to shade J. Cole even though he didn’t say his name. Blaming the fact that this isn’t the 90′s blah, blah, but his album IV play only pushed 43,000 units… WOMP, WOMP…. What The Dream fails to understand, there is only a select few that can sell records in this industry, Beyonce, Jay, Kanye, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood to name a few. No one wants to hear his music…. So I suggest he sticks to writing and producing that is what his nitch is…. Check his rants

Stick to the background dude. Nobody wants to hear a horny teddy bear beg for sex. This is 2013….Men in the music industry have so many feelings. They get on Twitter or on an interview and have real live woman fits. Not attractive. In the end I see why he would hate on J. Cole, I mean he is projected to push 200k-300k within his first week, meanwhile no one really knew that The Dream had an album dropping and if they did, they didn’t care enough to buy it. I suggest he have a seat….

Ciara Defends N-Word Usage, Should African-Americans Use It?
With Paula Deen still fresh in the headlines for her n-word controversy, singer Ciara is speaking out about the word’s usage in her own music. She claims that, because she is African-American, usage of the word is in a different context than a racist.
Speaking with Access Hollywood Live, the “I’m Out” singer explained the term has a different meaning than what it has had in the past, elaborating:

“As an entertainer you have fun and it’s all about the context it’s used in. I am an African-American woman, so I can identify with that word in different ways.”
“It’s all about the context and in my case I know I can have fun because I know where I’m coming from with it. You have to be light-hearted and it has to be in a certain way. I cannot hear another person of another race saying, ‘you this’ like ‘you that.’ Again, it’s all about how you say it and what context it’s used in.”
“That word has as much power as you give it.”
While the last quote certainly holds true, do you feel the word should be (realistically) laid to rest altogether? Should the n-word be acceptable for all races to use in our current culture? Weigh in, divas!

Your Thoughts?

RHOA’s Porsha Stewart Throws Cardio Cabaret B-Day With ‘Married 2 Medicine’s’ Quad
Celebrating your birthday poppin’ bottles in V.I.P. is so yester-year…ask Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Porsha Stewart.

The reality star continued her birthday celebration on Monday night in Atlanta, by breaking a sexy sweat at The Kandi Factory, as seen on Kandi Burruss‘ Bravo TV show.  Choreographer Victor Jackson taught the “Cardio Cabaret” class. We spotted folk like Toya Wright (the mother of Regina Carter), along with Married to Medicine’s Quad Webb-Lunceford.
Check footage of the group in action:

P.S. We’re guessin’ she went to the club later besides the church to preach?–still no judgement.

John Legend Talks New Album, ‘Love In The Future’ and Chevy Impala Campaign
John Legend has done nothing but awe his fans over and over again. From “Used To Love You” to one of his latest hits, “Tonight (Best You Ever Had)”, the soulful crooner continues to make us fall in love with him with every song that he delivers. Now, 5 years after his last album Evolver, Legend is preparing for the September 3 release of his fourth studio album, Love In The Future.

In a recent interview with Billboard, JL spoke about his the upcoming album, as well as his new Chevy Impala campaign. Chevrolet, most recently known for taking some of today’s biggest artists and lacing their commercials with their tracks, did more than an exceptional job with choosing Mr. Legend for their 2014 Chevy Impala campaign.

Stating to Billboard during the filming of the commercial back in May, “Growing up in a family of autoworkers in the Midwest, I’m very sensitive to the fact that we want to support great American manufacturers that are making our cars,” Legend noted being apart of this campaign hit home for him. Making its debut on television and in movie theaters on June 28, John states: “I thought it was an exciting thing to support this classic brand being reinvigorated. The car’s beautiful and I’m excited to represent it.”

On his upcoming Love In The Future album, John mentioned that he was executive producer of the well-anticipated record along with Kanye West and Dave Tozer. Other hit-makers mentioned as contributors to the project are Hit-Boy, Da Internz, DJ Camper and more. He states, “We made something I think really presents where I am in my life right now. Lyrically, the title kind of embraces where I’m heading in life, I’m about to get married. It’s the beginning of something new, I’m optimistic about it, and you can hear that in the tone of the tracks. I wanted to make a really great modern soul album.”

The Celebs Hit Up Robinson Cano's Charity Domino Event
It's family time for the Roc!  Jay-Z & his new Roc Nation Sports signee, Pro baseballer Robinson Cano brought his superhero friends to the 40/40 Club.  And it was all for a good cause.  He and his celeb friends rasied some money doing a Donimo tournament for his RC24 Foundation.
The latest baller to pledge their allegiance to Roc Nation Sports, Kevin Durant, was on hand to support his new Roc fam.
Jay chilled out in some white jeans inside.
Jessica White showed off her model figure in a blue catsuit-like jumper by Dani Nichole Designs and pretty pumps.
And she kicked it inside with atylist Atiba Newsome.
Jay's good friend & Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia was there with his wife Amber.
Roc artist Melanie Fiona was there looking cute and casual.
And Sean Garrett also made an appearance.
Fun times for a good cause!

Did Tahiry & Joe Budden Break Up? & Is Joe Budden Insinuating Tahiry Is Pregnant?
I'm hoping this information is NOT accurate, but according to Joe Budden's Twitter page, it seems like him and Tahiry have possibly broken up again. And the cause of the breakup is once again Joe's fault as he claims (in his own words, not mine) that Tahiry caught him in the bed with another chick?

You can check out Joe's tweet below:

However, despite the fact that there might have been some type of falling out between Joe Budden and Tahiry, there seems to be another issue at hand. And that issue is there might be a chance that Tahiry is pregnant!!!

You can check out that tweet below:

Let's keep in mind that Vh1 is filming for the new season of "Love & Hip Hop New York" right now so this all may be a plot for publicity, or it very well might all be true! Only time will tell.

Now what say you?

AND FINALLY FROM THE CRAZY PEOPLE SHOPPING AT WALMART FILES
‘The Mobile Billboard’
Sometimes direct advertising works. Personally I’m curious as to why the hooker industry doesn’t use more billboard advertising. Frankly it would clear up some confusion for the horny creepers that aren’t 100% sure that girl wearing nothing but a leopard thong, heels and a tube top is in fact a prostitute.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK AHEAD EVERYBODY!!!
EFREM
