Everybody say yeah, indeed! The curtain has come down on the 2013 Tony Awards, and Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein's hit musical Kinky Boots sashayed away as the big winner of the night with six trophies, including Best Musical, Best Leading Actor in a Musical (Billy Porter) and Best Score.

Whether you hate her or love her, it’s quite difficult to deny that Nicki Minaj is doing the doggone thang. In addition to her lucrative musical career, the Baisley, Queens rapper has her hand in several different pots. The Barbz can’t get enough of her Pink Friday fragrance line, not to mention her recent partnership with Beatz By Dre for the limited edition Pink Pill portable bluetooth speakers. The “High School” rapper has also been trying her hand in the acting arena, she recently snagged a role alongside Cameron Diaz in upcoming film, The Other Woman. To top it all off, Mona Scott-Young’s Myx Fusions Moscato company recently named her as a partial owner and spokesperson for the brand!

Solange TALKS About Her MOVE In BROOKLYN Mag
For the summer 2013 issue of BROOKLYN Magazine, Solange Knowles discusses her life as a Brooklynite from the car pools and birthday parties, to hanging out with Beyonce and Jay-Z in Williamsburg.
Solange said the best thing about being in BK was that it allows her to be near her family (whom live in Manhattan).
“My parents are here, my sister is here, my cousin is here, all my friends are here. We really wanted Julez to have the experience that we had growing up—being able to drop in on his aunt’s house and being able to hang out with Grandma and see our friends and have that experience of actually having a soccer game and having family show up. It’s such a beautiful feeling, but also having that village is a necessary reality.”
The TRUE singer also talked about the impact of BK on her music.
“I’m working on my next record. I started writing about three months ago. I’ve been so lucky to meet such wonderful and beautiful inspiring friends, and we have all these experiences that only could have happened here. Even last night we all went to see Flying Lotus and Erykah Badu at Music Hall of Williamsburg and then we all went over to my studio in Red Hook and we just hung out till literally the sun came up and recorded and talked. They inspire me. Just having that energy around is so important.”

Just when we thought we've seen the last of this Myla Sinanaj chick and Kris Humphries, we haven't. And while usually we would roll our eyes and give a mumbled "Bish Please" when someone is thirsty enough to keep dragging up old ish...this time, our ears are perked.
You may remember Myla Sinanaj as the Kim K. knock off Kris Humphries ran to in NY/NJ when he and Kim K first called it quits, 72 days into their marriage.
Kris never claimed Myla as his chick, only his neighbor. But more than enough evidence was eventually provided that proved she was indeed a neighbor with benefits.
Myla met Kris while working as the overnight manager at a local W Hotel. So she had to stay quiet about everything she knew about the Kris/Kim/Kanye saga. That is...until chick stopped working there recently. And she's now making and swimming Swimsuits. Yep. (That's a sneak peak of her line above.)

Myla took to her Twitter after complaining about suffering from a migraine. She needed to get some ish out that was obviously burning her up.
Myla posted the above pic of a check that Kim Kardashian's lawyer (Laura Wasser) sent to her in order to get her to appear at the divorce deposition a few months ago....ON KIM'S BEHALF! Well isn't that clever of Kim....getting your almost ex-husband's jumpoff to go against him in a legal deposition in order to (likely) get her to expose some dirt on Kris? Not surprised.
Chick claimed she didn't want to travel there to defend anybody's Kim K., so she told them she "didn't have gas money." And this check magically appeared to alleviate her of her financial stress. Myla said (read from bottom up):
To Kim's legal team's defense, our own legal sources tell us it's usually mandated by law that the person involved in the deposition must cover certain travel expenses of the person they are requesting the presence of, if said person lives a certain number of miles away from deposition site. In this case, Myla lives on the east coast and the deposition went down on the west coast. We're pretty sure that requires Kim's legal team to cut this chick a check to cover her travel expenses.

Teyana Taylor & Angela Simmons Are Fighting Over Brandon Jennings?!
Say it ain’t so…singer and actress Teyana Taylor and designer Angela Simmons could be feuding over basketball player Brandon Jennings.
If you all remember, Teyana and the Milwakee Bucks player dated a few years back but eventually went their separate ways. However, the couple have stayed in touch and have had on-off relationship ever since. Although it was rumored they had gotten back together, Teyana was most recently linked to Young Money rapper Drake when photos of the two snuggled up on Twitter were released.
As for Angela, we were all under the impression that she was back with ex-boyfriend Bow Wow after being spotted together quite frequently in recent weeks.
However, now it’s believed Teyana and Angela are feuding because Simmons is now dating Jennings.
Simmons uploaded a photo of herself wearing a jersey with the letter “B” written on the front. Some people assumed it was Jennings’ jersey because he had reportedly been spotted wearing the same jersey earlier the same day.

Brittney Griner To Be First Openly Gay Athlete To Sign With Nike–And She’ll Be Modeling Men’s Apparel
Brittney Griner, the former First Team All-American center for Baylor and now the 1st overall draft pick for the Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA, is having a great year. And it’s definitely getting better as it has been confirmed that she has signed a deal with Nike, making her the first openly gay athlete to sign with the company. What also makes her new business venture all the more unique is that her contract will actually allow her to wear and model men’s apparel for the sports brand. It all makes sense considering it has been a long time since anybody, including Griner herself, has seen the star athlete in women’s apparel. As the Houston Chronicle put it: “The contract reflects Griner’s personal style and her discomfort with traditional women’s fashion.”
In the ESPN cover story on Griner’s life, the partnership was confirmed by Nike spokesman Brian Strong, and the writer, Kate Fagan discussed androgyny and the need for the Nikes, Reeboks, Adidas and other big sports apparel companies to step up and start appealing to the “gender fluid” crowd:
“No sports apparel company has taken it a step further and expressly targeted the gender-fluid crowd — and whether Nike is willing to ride the edge with Griner remains to be seen. ‘We can’t get into specifics,” says Nike spokesman Brian Strong, “but it’s safe to say we jumped at the opportunity to work with her because she breaks the mold.’”
In that same cover story, Griner discussed her affinity for men’s clothes:
“When Griner goes shopping, she often looks for clothes in the men’s section. People will say, “Hey, you’re in the wrong place.” But as she explains, “It’s what I feel comfortable in. It’s my dress identity.” She tells a story from when she was younger: “I remember my mom doing my laundry, and my dad being like, ‘Whose boxers are these?’ And I said, ‘They’re mine’ [raises hand slowly]. I’ve always been totally out there — just on a limb.”
Despite what apparel she puts on for the brand, it’s definitely a great move for her and she’ll be representing for people like her who need to see a confident lesbian woman comfortable with herself and ready to do things her way at all times: “I am 100-percent happy. Woman Says Waka Flocka Saved Her From A Miserable Marriage
This is the cutest story ever… I was kind of shocked when I saw the picture of the woman who is much older. But in a nutshell she documented her experience as a wife who was going through the normal ups and downs of marriage, and one day she found out Waka was coming to a town near her. She follows him on Twitter and he follows back. She DM’d him to let him know that she was coming and he replied to her. She then asked her husband if he wanted to go to the rap concert and of course he was being very narrow minded about the situation,basically saying that “many black men would be putting their bodies in close proximity to mine.” Also, “since I was so enamored of Waka, if Waka asked, I might go out clubbing with him and end up doing something I’d regret.” So she shrugged his hating off and went by herself and had the time of her life….. Now, my ex-husband and I had always had problems. We were on a typical bad relationship roller coaster; good times followed by bad times followed by good times and so on. Finally, the good times were just too far between and although the bad times subsided too, we fell into a very polite and civilized existence. That is, until Waka came to town.
My ex NEVER liked rap, my interest in rap & rap artists, or my blogging about rap. When I knew Waka was coming to Ft. Lauderdale, my husband basically said he wouldn’t prevent me from going (as if) but he didn’t want me to go. When I didn’t immediately agree not to go, things got worse. He basically implied that (and I’m paraphrasing) “many black men would be putting their bodies in close proximity to mine.” Also, “since I was so enamored of Waka, if Waka asked, I might go out clubbing with him and end up doing something I’d regret.”
She didn’t go out clubbing with Waka, but she did go to his show and posed for pictures with her black boo Flocka during his meet and greet with fans:
I had DM’d him a few times before the concert to tell him I was coming & would be the old white lady with reddish hair in the front. When I got my turn for the photo, I said, “Waka, you follow me on Twitter.” He replied, “Oh yeah, you said you was comin’!”
I was so thrilled! It really made my night, my week, my year, my decade. And when I got home, I realized that I’d gotten TWO photos with Waka; the first one was when I replied “Oh yes, Waka, that was me!” and was all googly-eyed and giggling like a schoolgirl. The second photo was the posed shot.
So, basically, the experience with my ex of the Waka concert made my mind up for me. It was time to make that break, and live my life without looking over my shoulder or being beholden to an immature man who didn’t appreciate me or the interesting turns my life might take. We’ve been divorced for a few months now. I couldn’t be happier.

Jay-Z -- Set To Cop A $20 Million Dollar Deal With SAMSUNG Mobile?
Rapper Jay-Z, whom FORBES Magazine has listed as one of the wealthiest hip hop artists in the world, is reportedly set to add $20 million dollar to his bank account once a deal with Samsung Mobile is inked.
So what would entice Jay-Z to lend his image to Samsung? An insider told the NY Post,
"The eight-figure deal will be inked in the next few weeks, and is the biggest of its kind. You can speculate that he’ll want to develop some kind of new music-streaming service to promote his acts and music on mobile devices."
In other Jay-Z news, insiders say his Roc Nation Sports group is on the verge of signing Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson. But because DeSean recently fired his former agent, he can't be "courted" publicly by Roc Nation until AFTER he files paperwork with the NFL players union. But for now....all eyes point towards the Roc.
We just hope DeSean doesn't post any photos of himself with Jay-Z like Geno Smith did before he signed. Players have to keep those "non-agent relationships" on the down low to avoid penalties and fines.
