Stevie Wonder is STANDING HIS GROUND AGAINST FLORIDA!

Stevie Wonder says he will not perform in Florida until they abolish The Stand Your Ground Law!
During a concert in Quebec City, on Sunday, the singer announced on stage he would no longer perform in the state of Florida until the state’s Stand Your Ground laws were abolished. The same laws that protected George Zimmerman in his defense on murdering unarmed teen Trayvon Martin.

He stated, “The truth is that—for those of you who’ve lost in the battle for justice, wherever that fits in any part of the world—we can’t bring them back. What we can do is we can let our voices be heard. And we can vote in our various countries throughout the world for change and equality for everybody. That’s what I know we can do.

Report: Bobby Womack DIAGNOSED with Alzheimer’s Disease!

Report: Bobby Womack Has Alzheimer’s Disease
*Soul legend Bobby Womack is battling the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease, according to a repot in Britain’s The Sun newspaper.
The 68-year-old singer/songwriter has been struggling to remember names and song titles in recent months and doctors informed him he is showing the first symptoms of the degenerative condition.
“The doctor says there are signs of Alzheimer’s. It’s not bad yet but will get worse,” he tells The Sun. “How can I not remember songs I wrote? It’s frustrating. I don’t feel together yet. Negative things come in my mind and it’s hard for me to remember sometimes.

“The most embarrassing thing is I’ll be ready to announce (collaborator) Damon (Albarn of Blur) and can’t remember his last name.”
The diagnosis is the latest health issue for Womack – he battled colon cancer in 2012, but received the all-clear in May.

Prayers go out to Bobby he is a SOUL legend!

The King of Pop Michael Jackson Remembered, (1958-2009)
Today we're remembering the King Of Pop, the incredible dancer who invented the moonwalk and freakish singer who blew us away from a young age with family band the Jackson 5...the one and only Michael Jackson.
Hard to believe it's already been 3 years since his sudden passing, and although it will be a difficult day for some, here at Take40 we're going to celebrate an amazing individual who created some of greatest music of all time.
Michael was once asked how he'd like to remembered, he replied "As a person who came and brought light to the world, some escapism."
So let's forget about the times when MJ was in the news for all the wrong reasons...today we're going to turn up the stereo, attempt the moonwalk and celebrate the late, great Michael Jackson!
R.I.P MJ…FOREVER THE KING!

Prayers for Etta James….Reportedly near Death!
Etta James, the "At Last" singer whose health has been in decline, is terminally ill with chronic leukemia, her doctor says.
Dr. Elaine James, who has lived with the 73-year-old singer since March 2010, made the announcement Thursday, explaining that James’ leukemia was deemed incurable two weeks ago. The diagnosis was determined with help from an oncologist-hematologist and an internist.

"I am Southern and Christian and would just ask for the prayers of her fans and friends," the doctor, who is no relation to the singer, told the Riverside Press-Enterprise. "[Fans] know she’s been sick, but not how sick."

Leukemia is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow, where blood cells are produced, according to our sister blog Booster Shots. When abnormal cells are created, they disrupt the function of healthy cells. Treatments for more advanced stages of chronic leukemia can include drug therapy, chemotherapy and bone marrow or stem cell transplants.
She has influenced American musicians like Diana Ross, Janis Joplin and Christina Aguilera.
She has also made her mark on British artists like The Rolling Stones, Rod Stewart, Amy Winehouse, Joss Stone and Adele.
Etta was also played by Beyonce Knowles in the 2008 film, Cadillac Records.
Her fans know that she's been ailing, but do not not realize the extent to which her health has been failing.
Adding to Etta James' suffering are kidney failure and dementia, according to court records, and Elaine James says Etta's communication is at this point mostly just "uh-huhs”"and "no's." The Riverside resident, who underwent gastric bypass surgery in 2003, was hospitalized earlier this year with blood and urinary tract infections, and has suffered from heroin and painkiller addictions in the past.
Donto James and his brother Sametto James told Reuters on Friday that they were not involved in the announcement and are still trying to determine the accuracy of the diagnosis.
Donto has been involved with ongoing court proceedings concerning his mother's estate and care. So far, he is asking for a conservator to take over his mother’s $1-million estate in place of her husband, Artis Mills, and is questioning the employment of Elaine James. The doctor’s salary was previously reported at $20,000 per month, then $25,000 and now $30,000.

Please keep Etta in prayers and hope for a Breakthrough. But in the end it’s in God’s hands. But Etta we thank you for all your contributions to music!
WE LOVE YOU!

A total of 269 diamonds, pearls, rubies, rings, necklaces and a tiara will be sold, with several of the most valuable pieces related to Miss Taylor’s lengthy and complicated relationship with Richard Burton, whom she married and divorced twice.

The trustees of Taylor’s estate have renamed it The Elizabeth Taylor Diamond, and it is estimated to fetch £1.57million to £2.19million.
But previous auctions of memorabilia belonging to celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe and Jackie Onassis have soared to many times their pre-sale estimates.
