AND SHE SPEAKS: Jason Collins' Ex-Fiancee Carolyn Moos -- “I Empathize....But I REMAIN Deeply Hurt By Him"

Carolyn Moos, the ex-fiancee of Jason Collins, the NBA baller who famously came out a few months ago, is speaking out about Jason's dishonesty during their courtship and how he's continued to lead her on since his announcement.  Hear her side of things inside... 

A few months ago, NBA player Jason Collins (who's still unsigned, but technically still in the NBA) became a hero for coming out, but Carolyn Moos, the woman who spent eight years of her life with him romantically, doesn't necessarily see him as a hero. 

"I wish he could have been honest with me years ago...He’s being hailed as a pioneer, but I believe true heroism is a result of being honest with yourself and with those you love.”

In the August issue of Cosmopolitan, Carolyn offers a first-person account of how she felt before, during and after her courtship and engagement to Jason.  And she's still hurting.....

After years of doubting herself and why she wasn't good enough, Jason's announcement added a further sting once he promised to follow up with her and answer any additional questions....but he didn't.  Here are the highlights from the ex's interview:

On Jason calling off their four-year engagement:

The day Jason canceled the wedding was surreal. It was July of 2009, and he had just returned home from a road trip with his twin brother, Jarron. I had been living with Jason in Los Angeles for the previous year, ever since our engagement. He told me, "You may want to sit down." I loved this man deeply. He was intelligent, good-humored, handsome, and importantly, taller than I am—7 feet. (I'm 6 feet 5 and a former pro basketball player myself.) His words didn't make sense to me, and they hit me hard, freezing my heart. "I'm just not sure," he said. There were no tangible reasons, no explanations.

On Jason coming out  (and ending the mystery of why he called of the engagement):

The phone call this April ended the mystery. He left a message on a Sunday, saying, "I have something important to talk about—please call me back." I was working and called the next morning. He uttered an eerily familiar phrase: "You may want to sit down." Then he said, "Carolyn, I'm gay." I was stunned. I managed to say, after a silent moment and then a deep breath, "I had no idea. I'm sure a huge weight is off your shoulders." During all the years I had known him, I never would have guessed that he would come out as gay.

On how Jason HASN'T spoken to her since his announcement:

We talked again briefly that night. He answered a few questions, but there was much left to discuss and he said he had to go. As I tell this story, it has been several weeks since he told me his news and he has made no further time to talk, despite saying he would do so. I am sad that the media seems to be a higher priority. I hope this changes in the coming weeks, as I value open dialogue more than anything.

New Openly Gay Rapper (Sissy Rich) Out to Prove a Point

Hip Hop has been making a more feminine transition lately, and we’re not talking about the female kind. Break out gay rapper, Sissy Rich is telling the world who he is with his music.
With a strong fan base, Rich is a hero of sorts for some in the LGBT community. He’s declared himself the “world’s first (openly) gay rapper.” The rapper calls his work “homo hip hop.”

The lyrics are just that. He’s proud of his sexuality and isn’t afraid to show it.
Rich is a 21-year-old proudly gay young man who is out to prove to the world it doesn’t matter what’s between your legs – talent is talent.

“My mission and goal is to prove to the world that the rap game isn’t just made for heterosexuals and that talent is talent regardless of who and how you love!” asserts Sissy Rich. “I’m keeping it real with my name, yes – they call me ‘sissy’ and yes – I’m gonna be rich! But it shouldn’t matter about race or sexuality. Music is for everybody!”
Rich got his start after his YouTube videos went viral. Now he’s a growing pop/hip hop sensation among his fan base and beyond.

A native of Miami, now residing between Atlanta, GA and Orlando, FL, Sissy Rich, like so many same gender loving individuals, suffered shame, discrimination and abuse while growing up. He was ridiculed in school and almost didn’t finish high school. With the support of his mother, he transferred locations several times before successfully securing his degree with honors, reads his press release.

“So many of us are in pain,” reveals Sissy Rich. “I am bombarded with Facebook messages and tweets of support literally from around the world. I never realized I was a voice for so many. They listen to my music and thank me for being brave enough to honor who I am! But this is just the beginning! I am a Gay Rapper for real! It is not a marketing ploy or just the name of new CD! I am a Gay Rapper and I’m plan to blow up the hip hop game! It is our time!”

In a show of commitment, Sissy Rich has pledged to donate 40% of the proceeds from the sale of the single to The Center – The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Community Center of Central Florida. The Center, located in Orlando, FL, will celebrate 35 years as an organizing force within the LGBT community. It is a crucial source for information, education, advocacy and support and offers a variety of support and social programs including AA, AL-Anon, NA, HIV+ and transgender support groups along with counseling for individuals and couples. Over 30 various social/support groups meet at The Center each month, of which seven are 12 Step programs. The Center serves more than 15,000 individuals a year through its doors and over 8,000 a month online.

Greg Davis, Mississippi Mayor, Reveals He Is Gay After Audit Reveals Visit To Adult Store
Southaven Mayor Greg Davis Ordered to Repay over $170K

An embattled Mississippi mayor has come out after an investigation revealed that he used city funds to cover personal expenses including a visit to a gay adult store.

The Tennessee-based publication The Commercial Appeal prompted the revelation from Southaven Mayor Greg Davis, after receipts provided by state auditors showed that Davis had spent thousands of dollars worth of liquor, expensive dinners and even a personal vacation, in addition to a charge for $67 at Priape, a store in Toronto that is described by its website as "Canada's premiere gay lifestyle store and sex shop." Davis is said to have made the visit to the shop during a recruitment trip in Canada.

This is what he said after getting busted:

"At this point in my life and in my career, while I have tried to maintain separation between my personal and public life, it is obvious that this can no longer remain the case," Davis said. "While I have performed my job as mayor, in my opinion, as a very conservative, progressive individual -- and still continue to be a very conservative individual -- I think that it is important that I discuss the struggles I have had over the last few years when I came to the realization that I am gay."

Davis, a Republican who ran unsuccessfully for Congress in 2008 on a conservative platform, has been under a criminal investigation for allegedly misusing $170,000 on both city-issued and personal credit cards -- $96,000 of which he has reportedly has repaid so far. "These expenses submitted by Mayor Davis as official events and purchases on behalf of the city are a betrayal of the public's trust, and I intend to pursue the recovery of this money to the fullest extent of the law," State Auditor Stacey Pickering told Fox News in November. "Clothing purchases, family counseling and personal meals and entertainment are in no way authorized expenses for the city and should not be paid for on the taxpayers' dime."

WOW and he still wants to be a conservative???…..I guess can run but you can’t hide!….SMH!

Well Hip-Hop is definitely coming OUT..Out of what is the question: Texas Rapper Wears Lipstick, Leggings, Says He's Not Gay

A rapper in Dallas, Texas is making headlines for his "unique" attire that includes women's lipstick and flower print leggings.
Daryll Phillips II a.k.a. "D Phill Good" was recently interviewed by a local news station who profiled his "XY Movement", one where men can openly wear women's clothing and still be heterosexual.

Speaking to CW 33, Phill Good explained that his choice of attire has nothing to do with his sexuality, instead it's just a form of expression.
"A lot of people feel like a lot of colors or tight clothes is homosexual. I feel like it's more of an expression of me."

Phill Good's girlfriend was also interviewed and voiced her support saying,
"It's fine. He wears lipstick, I wear lipstick, we share lipstick!"Similarly rapper Lil B has also been in headlines for similar reasons.
