The most inspiring CoverGirl ever? Make-up blogger, 13, fighting two types of cancer becomes honorary face of beauty giant

A 13-year-old cancer sufferer, who became a YouTube star thanks to her inspired make-up video tutorials, has become an honorary face of CoverGirl.

Talia Joy Castellano was thrilled to learn the news last month during an interview with Ellen Degeneres, and today, the beauty giant released a campaign-style image bearing her face.

The teenager, who developed an interest in make-up six years ago, when she was first diagnosed with neuroblastoma, has attracted over 14million viewers to her video blog.

This summer, however, Talia uploaded a post announcing she now has 'neuroblastoma and leukemia at the same time'. 

Although she says 'the chances of surviving are fewer than surviving,' she will continue her videos 'for as long as I can.'

Despite the harrowing diagnosis, Talia was bursting with positivity and energy when she appeared on Ms DeGeneres' show.

Clearly in awe of the host and the standing ovation she was greeted with, her eyes welled up at the beginning.

'I'm shaking I love you so much!' she admitted.

'When people ask me that, what do you want me to do, be depressed?' she said. 'I mean a little fishy told me, "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!"'

Of course, the admiration was mutual, and Ms Degeneres, in turn could not praise Talia enough.

'I'll keep telling you that too,' she replied. 'I'm so glad that a fish told you that.

'You really are quite something,' she continued. 'There's a depth to your soul that is not a 13-year-old soul. You’re an old soul and you are very special and amazing, and I’m so honored that you wanted to meet me and that I got to meet you.'

Talia was first diagnosed with with stage four neuroblastoma cancer, a tumor that develops from nerve tissue in infants and children, on Valentine's Day in 2007. 

She reveals during a video: 'You don't think, "Oh my god I'm going to die". It's more like, "I'm going to lose my hair, I'm going to be skinny, I won't be able to eat, go to school, see my friends."'

The seventh grader said her popular make-up tutorials were conceived out of her distaste for wearing wigs.

'I don't like wigs, they're so, I dunno... When I have on a wig I feel, not fake, just not me', she explains,

'When I put on my make-up I feel like I can embrace those features that I really like about myself. I feel if someone's looking at me, they're looking at my make-up, not looking at my bald head.

'I am just trying to make young girls, young adults, adults, anyone, feel beautiful by using make-up,' she adds.

Once a week, on top of enduring chemotherapy, radiation, stem cell transplants, and blood transfusions, she teaches her viewers how to master a make-up look that most girls are quick to put in the 'too hard basket'.

'Just fill it in sloppily,' she advises of a base layer. 'But focus on the eyelid because that's where we want most of the intensity and the yellow to stick.

'When you're using very vibrant colours like this you always want to use a base. One, it will prevent creasing, and it will give the eyeshadow something to stick to,' she explains of a look inspired by fire and her 'fiery' bathing suit.

She also tells her fans that 'it's just for fun'. 

'I just did this while my parents were in the pool and I was really bored. It's not hard at all. Some girls think it's so hard, being like "How do you do that?!" and I'm like "bro, it's"..never mind,' she trails off.

She revels her latest diagnosis to her fans, saying: 'I just wanted to tell you guys because I don't want it to be a secret.'

'Basically there are not really a lot of options for treatment anymore,' Talia explains to her viewers with the frank wisdom of few adults. 

She could undergo a bone marrow transplant, however the surgery would take a considerable toll on her body because she has had 'so many surgeries it's crazy.' 

She admits in her video blog that she is leaning towards not having the transplant, which means she will only have four months to one year to live.

'I'm going to decide whether or not I want to do the bone marrow transplant, or whether or not I just don't do it and live the time I have remaining,' she says. 

'This is not fair to me anymore. I'm only 13. I shouldn't have to be doing this…it's really not fair for kids to have cancer. It really frickin sucks.'

Although Talia is not sure what her next steps are, but she promises to continue her videos, and says 'I hope you guys understand where I'm coming from, not wanting to do the transplant'.

'I've gotten so many benefits from [cancer]. Having a YouTube channel, having to inspire people and having people look up to me... I adore, I love make-up, using it as my wig... it's amazing... the journey of having cancer was amazing. But every journey has an end.

'Having cancer has been a gift, but it's a horrible, horrible thing,' she says.

R. Kelly To Premiere New ‘Trapped In The Closet’ Series On Black Friday / Watch Teaser

After titillating the masses with 2005′s ‘Trapped In The Closet’, R. Kelly is rebooting the franchise for another drama-filled run this November.

As previously reported, the Pied Piper confirmed that the re-booted song-series will return under the wing of the Independent Film Channel.

Now, in a new interview with TIME, the R&B crooner elaborates on the return of ‘Trapped’ adding that 20 new clips have been shot and that roll-out will begin on November 23rd (Black Friday). What’s more, Kelly confirms that characters such as Rufus, Cathy, and the Nosy Neighbor are all back for the latest collection of soap-styled drama, which has been sub-christened ‘Oh Sh*t’.

Clearly, the next round of ‘Trapped’ will be as much of a bonkers must-watch as the initial clips. Needless to say, roll on November!

For those itching for more traditional R.Kelly output, the singer promises new album ‘Black Panties’ will sonically pay homage to his 1993 classic ‘12 Play’. He tells TIME:

 “I decided to go back and do an old-school R. Kelly album like 12 Play. That’s pretty much what it’s going to be, focusing on more of the bedroom ballads. I like to give people variety and I just gave them two years of romance albums and soul.”

Again, we can’t wait!

Oprah Winfrey Is Featured In Harper Bazaar

T he Oprah show is over and new challenges begin. As her network hits its stride, Oprah Winfrey is still climbing the mountain. Oprah has ventured back into acting, in Lee Daniels’s The Butler, out next year. In Oprah-land, a role in a film is normally a little mini vacation – but Oprah lowers her voice dramatically and says: “I didn’t know what the hell acting was! I just now figured it out. I am so stunned because all this time I’ve been doing it wrong!” 

She’s been working with famed acting coach, Susan Batson, known for her acting studio Black Nexxus. Oprah calls the coaching, “the best therapy ever. I was literally in a coaching session with her and just crying my heart out. Thinking about, you know, a boyfriend from when I was in my 20s. That bastard!”

Vanity Fair Changes Janet Jackson Article....SOMEWHAT!

Last week Vanity Fair printed an excerpt from a new book claiming Janet Jackson held up her brother Michael's funeral until she was repaid a $40,000 funeral deposit.

Janet immediately demanded a retraction [click here if you missed that] and Vanity Fair has complied, but somehow I don't think Janet will be satisfied...

On Vanity Fair's website a small notation was added to the original article stating Janet held up the funeral over $49,000 not $40,000.

Janet Jackson Did Not Delay Michael's Funeral, The Family Couldn't Agree On Burial Place!

Janet Jackson was accused of delaying her brother Michael's funeral three years ago because she wanted a hefty deposit of $40k returned, but RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the actual reason the King of Pop's burial took place several months after he died was because the family couldn't agree on where he should be laid to rest.

"Janet absolutely didn't delay Michael's funeral, that just never happened," a family insider tells Radar Online.com exclusively. "The main reason for the delay was because the family just couldn't agree on where Michael should be buried. Jermaine and Randy wanted him buried at Neverland but Katherine was absolutely steadfast against that.

As previously reported, according to Vanity Fair, which obtained an excerpt of a new biography on Jackson by Randall Sullivan: "Janet put up the $40,000 deposit at Forest Lawn to secure a spot for Michael but refused to let the funeral take place until the money was repaid."

Janet's attorney, Blair Brown fired off a letter to Vanity Fair's editor, Graydon Carter, demanding a retraction of the story. In the letter, which is posted on the singer's website, her lawyer says: "The article states that according to Untouchable, Ms. Jackson put down a $40,000 deposit to secure a burial plot for Michael Jackson but refused to let the funeral take place until that money was repaid. This is untrue. Ms. Jackson never delayed the funeral in any way. In fact, she paid for the funeral and was reimbursed for some of those expenses by Michael Jackson's estate in the year after the services took place

Toya Speaks On Why She Declined “Real Housewives Of Atlanta”

Toya Wright whom got her shine from reality has been said to had declined the opportunity of being a cast member on Real Housewives Of Atlanta. Find Out Why…

Toya Wright who is no stranger to reality television, she was first introduced to us through her first reality show “Tiny & Toya”, which featured he good friend Tiny. AS well she had her own show later on BET, A Family Affair that featured she and her family. In addition it was also mention that her husband Memphitz declined the opportunity to be a part of the hit reality show “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta”. Recently there no word on who told but it was revealed that Toya declined being a cast-member on of the most watch reality show “Real Housewives Of Atlanta”. It said that she declined because she wants to continue to keep her image clean, she explains on why she feels this way:

“I interviewed for the ‘Housewives,’ but I’m so used to doing shows with my producer, James DuBose, and being an executive producer on a show so I’m able to see how they portray me. I work so hard to build such a positive brand and to just let people know who I am. I don’t want to mess that up. With the producers it’s about making good TV and some of them don’t really care about your personal life, as long as it’s something interesting for the cameras and something they can take to the next level to make juicy, they’re going to do it.”

White Students Wear Blackface, Act Out Chris Brown & Rihanna Altercation

A high school in upstate New York had the bright idea of letting their white students don blackface and act out the 2009 altercation between Chris Brown and Rihanna. Needless to say, the public is not pleased with the news.

Select students at Waverly High School plastered dark makeup on their face and body to re-enacted the domestic abuse between the former couple. Word of the pep rally performance hit the national news arena after the story was posted on CNN's iReport by citizen journalist, Matthew Dishler.

Although Dishler did not attend the rally, he heard about it from various people and saw photos posted on Facebook, before giving an account of how the whole thing went down:

At the most resent Pep Rally for Waverly High School, located in Waverly NY, the usual fanfare of cheering for the home team to get them ready was in full swing. As the rally progressed you had your usual cheers and rally cries for the fall sports teams and the football team. It seemed to have done well, with Waverly defeating their opponent 70-21. But what happened at that pep rally went much farther than simple cheers. Three white students were to perform a skit in black face, depicting Chris Brown and Rhianna most notibly. In this skit they would display acts of domestic violence as satire to an audience that included not only students but parents, faculty, and various members of the media and community leaders. None of them stopped the skit.

In an interview with a local new newspaper, Dishler admitted that there is not a lot of racial diversity in the school. School officials are now looking into skit, and will hold a meeting Tuesday (Oct. 16) to further discuss the issue, stating that they are "committed to creating a positive atmosphere," through their activities, and "need to meet with the whole student body to set clear expectations for our behavior and the impact it has on all people."

Funny how things like this are never a problem until the public finds out.

Frank Ocean Posts OPEN LETTER On Fame, His New Love & Career

Frank Ocean posted an open letter (written in his "stream of consciousness" style) on his Tumblr recently where he let fans in on some of the things floating through his head.  In the Notepad letter, (he obviously hates paragraphs by the way), he talks about writing a novel, his new relationship, working with people like Jay-Z and Pharrell and reveals that Oreos don't taste good with almond milk. 

Frank ended by saying that he's working on a lot of music.  But judging from all the things going on in his head, maybe the homie could use a break.

'She thinks she's special': Halle Berry on her custody battle for Nahla... and why she wants to move daughter to France

Halle Berry has opened up about her plans to move her daughter Nahla to France, insiting it is in her daughter's best interests.

The actress is currently embroiled in a bitter custody battle with her ex-partner Gabriel Aubry over their four-year-old.

'It's the appeal of privacy and a greater sense of safety for Nahla,' she told InStyle magazine.

'Because we are followed all the time, she is starting to feel like she is somehow special, and of course she is, but I want her to understand that she's special because of who she is, not because she was born into this celebrity blender.'

Halle, 46, made a rare comment about her custody battle.

'There is turbulence, but this too shall pass,' she said.

And she said the dispute had caused her to delay her wedding to French actor Olivier Martinez.

She told the magazine: 'I'm not sure where I am going to be living in the next few months, so I have to get that settled first.' When she finally does settle down and wed Olivier, Halle - who has been divorced twice, from David Justice and Eric Benét - wants it to be an intimate affair.  

She added: 'I do know it will be very small. I haven't been to many weddings, but I went to one this weekend with 250 guests. I thought, "Wow - so this is a wedding, huh?" I've never had that, nor have I wanted that.

'I wasn't even trying to catch the bouquet.'

Karen Clark Sheard Lands A New Reality Series

BET, like a number of general entertainment cablers, has renewed faith in spiritually themed programming. So move over Mary Mary — you are about to have some gospel reality show competition! BET has began shooting a new reality series, following Detroit’s Sheard family. Which includes: gospel powerhouse Karen Clark Sheard; Bishop J.Drew Sheard, who leads a mega-church in Motor City; their daughter, singer Kierra Sheard; and son/producer J. Drew Sheard. The show is one of many new spiritually themed programs being added to BET in the coming months. BET has also just shot a pilot for a talk show hosted by Bishop T.D. Jakes.

“We are trying to bring (spiritual themes) into the fabric of our programming in general,” said Charlie Jordan Brookins, BET’s senior veep of original programming. Brookins said they’ve made an effort to ensure that spiritually themed programming is not overtly preachy, but rather offers a look at religion and faith as part of life.

The Sheards, now in production in Michigan, is at heart a family drama. “It’s not about their faith. It’s about them as a family of faith,” Brookins said.

New Artist to look out for Who Is Macklemore?

The Pacific Northwest is very familiar with Macklemore. He's spent years building a fan base in Seattle. Alongside DJ and music director Ryan Lewis, the pair has established themselves as the faces of Seattle’s hip-hop scene. Their DIY-driven music has gone national thanks to a tireless work ethic and co-signs from rap stars like Mac Miller, Big Sean and Schoolboy Q.

Macklemore—real name Ben Haggerty—is about to add one more accomplishment to his resume with the release of his official debut, The Heist. After building an initial buzz with 2009’s The vs. EP, the 29-year-old has plenty of new experiences to share three years later.

Two successful singles have set the stage for The Heist—“Same Love” which addresses homophobia in hip-hop and his bargain hunting anthem, “Thrift Shop.” A slew of previous releases made the album too, including “Make The Money” and “Wings.”

Macklemore announced that The Heist hit No.1 on iTunes. "WE FUCKING DID IT!!!!!!" he tweeted.

Knowing something like this would happen, we recently decided to find out Who Is Macklemore? He told us about his early days in the group Elevated Elements, learning to rap, his thoughts on Seattle's hip-hop scene, meeting Big Sean, and much more

Growing Up in Capitol Hill

Macklemore: “Capitol Hill is known as the hipster area of Seattle. It has a diversity in terms of there’s a large gay population on Capitol Hill. It’s an area with a young people and a lot of nightlife. It’s probably the biggest area in terms of just kicking it.

 “It’s still like that. Growing up, I grew up really fast. 11 or 12 years old, you know, I was going up to Broadway with friends and kicking it and that’s when I kinda started getting into trouble as a kid. Skateboarding, graffiti. It came with kids kicking it that were much older than me, a lot of drugs and just kind of growing up fast. I think that was kind of Capitol Hill-as kind of central Seattle-as you can get. And I was just a young kid trying to get into whatever I could. It really was just skating, drinking, and writing graffiti.

I went to Garfield my freshman year. Same high school Jimi Hendrix went to. Bruce Lee. A bunch of people—Ish from Digable Planets, Shabazz Palaces, Quincy Jones. So a long list of people who have had a prominent influence in Seattle’s music scene went to that high school.

 “My parents were there. I would say it had to do more with the music that I listened to and kind of my older influences. They kind of tried to stop it. I went to a high school, I went to Garfield my freshman year. Same high school Jimi Hendrix went to. Bruce Lee. A bunch of people—Ish from Digable Planets, Shabazz Palaces, Quincy Jones. So a long list of people who have had a prominent influence in Seattle’s music scene went to that high school. It was kind of an open campus for to kind of wild out at that age. My parents didn’t have control over it.

“Garfield is extremely diverse. You know the central district historically back then it was becoming gentrified. It was definitely in the process of being gentrified but when I was in high school it was predominantly a black neighborhood. Even by the time I graduated in 2001, it had a changed. Now it’s way different. Now it’s predominantly a white neighborhood.

 “I went to Garfield for only one year. And then I went to another school called Nathan Hale that is in a predominately white neighborhood. [It’s] kind of middle class neighborhood in the North end of Seattle. Then through Nathan Hale I went to Seattle Central Community College and did Running Start back at Capitol Hill. So I had a very eclectic mix of the high school experience.

Hale took me out of my environment. I didn’t really have friends there. I never really liked it. It made me focus on music. That’s when I really didn’t have else to do. I kind of stopped smoking weed at school. It just became more about writing raps.

“Garfield was just a wild school. The teacher had giving up before they had even started. Classes were hella disruptive. Nathan Hale was more tamed. I needed a school like Nathan Hale. Because being kind of the kid was getting into drugs and was rebelling against whatever my teachers said or whatever my parents said, getting into fights. All the typical stuff that kids do, you know, I think it was a big part because I wanted to do it. It was a big part because those were my friends and everyone was kind of doing it whoever I was kicking it with.

“Hale took me out of my environment. I didn’t really have friends there. I never really liked it. It made me focus on music. That’s when I really didn’t have else to do. I kind of stopped smoking weed at school. It just became more about writing raps and focusing on music.”

Getting the Name Professor Macklemore

Macklemore: “That was when I was 17. I believe. I came out to Pratt Art School when I was a junior for the summer. We were given an [assignment] at graphics art class at my high school in Seattle, I was given this superhero in plastic wrapping. We had to give him a name. I named him Professor Macklemore.

"When I came out to Pratt Art School for the summer, I was going to thrift shops and dressing up in random crazy outfits. Whenever I do that—and I’d go out in the town and get drunk and shit—when I would go do that, I was “Professor Macklemore.” Eventually, people just started calling me that. After I put out my first album, I was 17, I dropped the Professor and started just going by Macklemore.

“I just think it was a wack name. [Laughs.] Yeah, it was just a joke. Macklemore seemed more serious than Professor Macklemore. I’m not a professor or anything. [I used the name] on one project. It’s so funny to even think of those as projects. I guess it is, but I was literally 16 or 17 years old. You know, but nowadays a lot of kids that are coming up are that age. You know, [I] first started getting noticed at that age. But it took me much longer to get noticed. It was just a different age. It wasn’t the age of the Internet like it is now. But yeah, it’s funny to think of those as official projects because they weren’t. They were just some bedroom shit.”

Learning to Rap Through Cyphers

Macklemore: “I think going through puberty and your voice gets deeper. And you’re like, ‘I don’t sound like a chipmunk anymore.’ That was one thing with kind of the Rawkus era, it was something, you know, growing up listening to Wu-Tang and Mobb Deep, there was a much greater emphasis on cyphers back then. There wasn’t a studio to record in. Nowadays, everybody has a studio. Back then, you know one person with a studio. There was one studio in Seattle, now there are a couple and it was before anybody could record music on their computer. A big part of the culture was freestyling, beatboxing, and being out in public.That was kind of the studio, just honing your craft with other people in cyphers. And people were doing it at my school.

“It took me a minute [to learn how to rap.] My whole freshman year I would do it with my friends. In terms of people that were older and much better than me, I was just kind of watching from the sideline and studying it. I definitely didn’t feel comfortable with it at first. I was horrible.

 “The greatest thing to me, it’s almost a long lost art. What we call a freestyle nowadays isn’t what I am referring to. This was improv off the top of the head. There’s something about that energy that can’t be duplicated. Like even when people are spitting written raps and call it a cypher or whatever, it is just not the same. That improv and that comfortably with your skill that you can fuck up and still keep going and save it. Just feeding off of other people’s energy. Just very raw. And nowadays it’s very manufactured. People don’t really freestyle anymore. It’s all in the studio. It’s just a different art form.”

Here's what went down. Lady Gaga and the people closest to her have been noticing a NOT SO SUBTLE change in Laurieann, ever since she got her own reality show. The insider explained, "Laurieann is a bit of a diva, but she had her ego under control - not anymore."
A snitch pointed us towards TWO recent statements in the media, where LaurieAnn DELIBERATELY talked crazy about her multi-platinum selling BOSS. Laurieann told the LA Times that she is responsible for Lady Gaga's style - and that she modeled GaGa after Madonna, a charge Lady Gaga has been fighting for years. 

LauriAnn is quoted as saying:

Listen, [Madonna] should be bitter because I [made Lady Gaga in her image] on purpose and you can quote me. I did it on purpose because for all those kids who believe that you can’t, I wanted to let them feel that you can.
But everything came to a HEAD last week when the two ladies got into a BITTER ARGUMENT over the phone, when Laurieann learned that Lady Gaga was considering replacing her. The insider explained "A lot of things were said, and it was very HEATED. Laurieann ended up hanging up [on Lady Gaga] and saying that she was SUING."

OPRAH and the imaginary Oscar!

Oprah Winfrey accepted an honorary Oscar for her charitable work on Saturday in what she called an unimaginable moment for a black woman who grew up poor in Mississippi and rose to superstardom stardom.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences annually bestows its Governors Awards on people who have made an impact in the industry. This year, the honorary Oscars went to Winfrey, actor James Earl Jones and makeup artist Dick Smith at a black-tie affair that brought out stars such as John Travolta, Glenn Close and Alec Baldwin.

Talk show host and film actress Winfrey, who was nominated for a supporting-actress Academy Award in 1985′s “The Color Purple,” was given a Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award by a young woman who was sent through high school on a financial grant she earned from Winfrey’s foundation.

Winfrey teared up when accepting her honorary Oscar and described the moment as “unimaginable” given her humble roots growing up in Mississippi.

“All of us can make a difference through the life we lead,” Winfrey said. “We’re all here to help each other.”
She talked of her career as a TV talk show host and her movie work, and said it was “The Color Purple” that paved the way to stardom which, ultimately, led to philanthropy.

That movie “door opened to me through the magic and majesty of film,” she said.
James Earl Jones was given his honorary Oscar for a body of acting work that ranges from his Academy Award-nominated performance as a boxer in “The Great White Hope” to voicing the role of the villainous Darth Vader in the “Star Wars” movies.

Jones was not on hand because he is in working in London, but he spoke to the Los Angeles audience in a speech that was taped earlier on Saturday.
He said he was “deeply honored, mighty grateful and just plain gobsmacked,” using British slang for being astounded.
Also, the “Godfather of makeup” Dick Simon was given an honorary Oscar for his behind-the-scenes work using makeup and prosthetics to make actors look old, young, sick, dying and dead in films ranging from “The Exorcist” to “The Godfather.”

The Oscars for the films of 2011 will be given out in a ceremony in Los Angeles on Feb. 26.

Miss Teyana Tyalor gets SOCKED in the face at a L.A Club!

WERK I hear that Teyana Taylor has been involved in yet another fight!!! Well apparently, Teyana Taylor and Washington Wizards Guard, Nick Young, are very close. How close, I can’t say because they do have a business relationship, but I also know Teyana Taylor and Nick Young have been spotted together a lot more over the past few weeks. In fact they were seen leaving in the same SUV at the “A Day of Champions” event at the LA Sports Museum last week. Normally that doesn’t mean anything, but the problem is that Nick Young is involved with another woman, and he has been dating this woman for the past five years or so. All three of them (Nick Young, His Girlfriend, and Teyana Taylor) are at the Supper Club in LA Thursday Night, when all H-E-L-L breaks loose. Teyana Taylor reportedly is too friendly with Nick Young while the girlfriend is right there (with him) in the club…and that’s when all of the drama pops.

So Nick Young is in the club with his long term girlfriend, and so is Teyana Taylor, who arrives separately. Nick Young walks over and greets Teyana Taylor. Teyana starts hugging on Nick Young, and his girlfriend gets upset and walks over and physically removes Teyana arms from around Nick. I don’t know if Teyana thinks the girlfriend is just some random groupie or what, but Teyana puts her arms back around Nick, and the girlfriend removes Teyana’s hand once again in a more aggressive manner. Teyana then throws a drink in the girlfriend’s face. The girlfriend turns around and punches Teyana Taylor in the face. Yes, punches!!! Nick Young jumps in the middle of the two to keep them apart. He then exits the Supper Club promptly with his girlfriend in tow and they both speed off in Nick’s Maserati.

Teyana Taylor and her team may try to deny it and spin this story, but I guarantee, the scuffle took place. In Teyana’s defense, the girlfriend was aggressive first. Whoa! There’s a lot more drama involved with this story and I will just leave it at that…I have already spilled too much tea.

I hope this does not ruin Teyana Taylor’s LA birthday plans.

Ashanti actually has a FAN BASE IN The United Arab Emirates!!!!

Ashanti is making her way around the world these days. She's been performing for her fans of the Eastern Hemisphere and most recently stopped in Bali and Abu Dhabi.

Ashanti performed at Skybar in Abu Dhabi for their big F1 weekend. And look who hit the stage with her....her "What's Love" collabo partner Fat Joe.

MTV2 Sucker Free Awards In Miami

MTV2 Sucker Free hit up Miami Beach for the Sucker Free Awards at Liv in the Fountainebleau Hotel, featuring Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Ace Hood, Bow Wow, Birdman, and DJ Khaled. The awards show is scheduled to air Sunday, December 4th on MTV2, but until then here’s a sneak peek of what’s to come:

The show featured an electrifying performance Lil Wayne, Birdman, Tyga and Lil Twist. Rap artists including Rick Ross, Bow Wow, Red Cafe, Lil Twist, Mack Maine, Tyga, Short Dawg and Gudda Gudda joined in on the discussion of the hottest moments in hip-hop from 2011 and gave their opinion on which artist they feel should win the gilded “Sucker Free Awards” crowns. The show was hosted by Sway Calloway. DJ Irie was the show’s house DJ, DJ Khaled was a guest commentator and DJ Envy was also on hand to give viewers a look at all the action.

Interesting…Lil Wayne still rocking the leopard pants, but this time they are not not skinny jeans. The show will air on MTV2 at a later date!

Jay-Z Talks Fatherhood in GQ Magazine

GQ magazine announced their picks for the Men of the Year 2011 issue and Jay-Z made the top five. Also honored are Justin Timberlake, Michael Fassbender (Breakout), Mila Kunis (The Knockout) and talk show host Jimmy Fallon. Gq crowns the “businessman” King and sits down to interview him. The father to be opens up about working with perfectionist Kanye West, “emotional scars”of not having a father around and whether or not a car seat will be in the Maybach. Check out the interview inside!There’s a song on Watch The Throne called “New Day” where Jay and Ye talk about their unborn sons. Jay’s verse cuts deep by starting with an apology (sorry, Junior, I already ruined ya/ cause you ain’t even alive, and paparazzi pursuin ya) and it ends with a promise (promise to never leave him, even if his mama tweakin/cause my dad left me and I promise to never repeat him)

Its kinda weird because Jay and Bey are very reserved when it comes to their private life but Jay was speaking on the subject before it was announced…

On Kanye’s obsession with perfection: “I think he just can’t help himself. He puts so much into everything, and he’s like, ‘You have to treat it like I treat it.’ It drives you crazy sometimes—like when you’ve put seventy-five versions of a snare on one song and he’s like, ‘No!’ and you’re like, ‘Come on, man.’”

On the concept of “Ni**as in Paris”: “It’s not, like, ‘We’re here! We’re balling harder than everybody. It’s like, ‘I’m shocked that we’re here.’ Still being amazed, still not being jaded. Having so much fun and then stopping and saying, ‘What are we doing here? How did we get here?’”

On announcing his child at the VMAs: “It was actually Bey who wanted to [announce] it. You want to be in control of your life.”

On his relationship with his father: “If your dad died before you were born, yeah, it hurts—but it’s not like you had a connection with something that was real. Not to say it’s any better—but to have that connection and then have it ripped away was, like, the worst. My dad was such a good dad that when he left, he left a huge scar. He was my superhero.”

On whether he’ll play his music for his child: ”Of course—when the time comes, he’ll start with Reasonable Doubt, go from there. There will be a lot of that. And a lot of other records, all pivotal, important records. There’ll be Ready to Die, there’ll beIllmatic.”

On what being a father will mean to him: “Providing- thats not love. Being there- thats more important. I mean, we see that. We see that with all these rich socialites. They’re crying out for attention: they;re hurting for love. Im not being judgmental- Im just making an observation. They’re cruing ou for the love that maybe they didnt get at home, and they got everything. all the material things that they need and want. so we know thats not the key.”

On changing diapers: “Of course, of course. One hundred percent.”

On putting a car seat in the Maybach: “Yeah. Wouldn’t that be great? That would be a great picture.”

Hopefully Jay can influence young men to step up to the plate and be a father. Its true money isnt everything and sometimes its besat to just be there for your child emotionally even if you cant do it physically.

Nicole Brown Simpson’s sister: Kris Jenner is A DAMN LIAR, profiting off my sister’s death

In between defending her daughter’s failed sham of a marriage and claiming we don’t real know her family, Kris Kardashian Jenner has been promoting her new memoir, a large portion of which is dedicated to her friendship with Nicole Brown Simpson. During her media tour and in her book, Kris claimed that Nicole reached out to her the day before she was murdered, but that she was too busy to see her. In Kris’ mind, she somehow could have “saved” Nicole if she had only been there for her. It was ridiculous, self-centered and cruel to bring all that up to promote a book, but that’s Kris Jenner for you. She’s responsible for foisting her family on the world and she’s shameless. Well Nicole Brown Simpson’s sister, Denise Brown, went on the record with the Enquirer to denounce Kris and call her both pathetic and a liar. Apparently Kris claims in her book that Denise called her after the murder and asked her about the safe deposit box where Nicole kept photos and other evidence of her abuse. Denise denies ever doing that and says that the fact that Kris is bringing up her sister’s murder is hard for their family to take. Denise also calls out Kris for profiting off her sister’s death.

Kris Jenner is being blasted for writing about the death of Nicole Brown Simpson by the murdered woman’s sister Denise Brown, who says Kris is dredging up the painful past for profit.
What’s worse, Denise says Kris’ version of events – as detailed in the newly released “Kris Jenner…and All Things Kardashian” – is not even accurate!

“Kris Jenner IS pathetic,” Denise, 54, told The ENQUIRER in an exclusive interview.
In the book, Kris writes that the day after Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman were murdered in June 1994, Denise called her and asked about some photos Nicole kept hidden in a secret safety deposit box.

“Nicole had been beaten up by O.J., and she had been keeping this physical proof in the form of photographs and, it would turn out, other evidence, in which she had documented seven years of abuse,” Kris divulged in the book. “Nicole really wanted someone close to her to know what was going on, so that somebody – namely me – could be a witness.”

But Denise strongly denies calling Kris, 56, to ask about the photos during those heartbreaking days.
“I had just found out my sister was murdered,” Denise recalled. “The last thing on my mind was whether or not Nicole showed anyone any pictures she had in a safety deposit box.
“In fact, I didn’t even know my sister HAD a safety deposit box with pictures of her abuse until the beginning of O.J.’s trial – months after she was murdered…

““I think most people will question her intentions of writing about my sister’s murder,” Denise fumed. “I am really disappointed in Kris. For the past two-and-a-half years, my family has had some relative peace regarding all of this stuff. Now that Kris has brought it up again, she’s split open the healing wounds.
“For her to write about it is like reliving it all over again. My poor mother is really taking it hard.”But for the Kardashian clan – who reportedly raked in $65 million last year – it’s all about money, say sources.

“Haven’t they made enough?” Denise added. “Nicole has been dead for 17 years. Please, Kris, don’t profit off of my sister’s horrible death.”

I’m glad someone thought to ask the Brown family what they thought of Kris Jenner’s ridiculous claims. The woman is lying through her teeth, and her ex husband was one of O.J.’s high paid defense lawyers. She writes that she never thought O.J. was innocent and that was suspicious of his actions following the murder. So why didn’t she confront her ex husband about it? I’m sure she made up a bunch of excuses and lies about that too.

Kris also revealed that she cheated on her then-husband, Robert Kardashian, with a “producer named Ryan” when she was 30. (Not this Ryan, he would have been 11 at the time.) That was in 1985, and Kris filed for divorce from Robert in 1990. She wrote that “I don’t know why I was having a mid-life crisis at 30, but I was. His name was Ryan, and he was a producer. We had wild sex everywhere, all the time.” TMI from Kris, but that’s what she’s known for. That and bending the truth to promote herself and make money.

COURAGEOUSLY GABRIELLE!

Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords — speaking haltingly in brief sentences — said in her first extended interview Monday night that she was doing “pretty good.”
“A lot of people died — tough, tough, tough,” she said in the interview on ABC’s “20/20” about the shooting rampage in January that killed six people.
It wasn’t clear how fully recovered Giffords is 10 months after the shooting from the interview. She gave clipped, often one-word, answers.

Giffords, whose once shaved head is now covered with short brown hair, called her husband, former astronaut Mark Kelly, “brave, brave, brave” as she kissed his bald head during the interview.
Kelly replied to his wife that the word “brave” was how he would describe her — “brave and tough,” he said.

Interviewer Diane Sawyer detailed Giffords recovery through voiceover and videos from the hospital where she was treated.
The videos follow Giffords from being unable to speak at all, to following basic commands and singing the songs “Girls Just Want to Have Fun ” and “Freefalling. ”
In one clip, Giffords breaks down while having a difficult time relearning to speak, and she and her therapist hug.
The interview also showed Giffords walking with a limp to the mailbox as she held her husband’s hand.

Asked what she remembers of the shooting, Giffords replied that those memories were “gone.”
Kelly said she does two hours of therapy a day. When Giffords said the word “Africa,” Kelly explained that the couple hoped to take a trip there in the summer.

After the shootiong, Kelly said doctors advised him not to describe the extent of the Tuscon massacre.
But, he said, he was reading a newspaper story to her when she noticed that he had skipped over a paragraph.

She said she cried when Kelly finally told her what had happened.
When asked if she planned to get back to Congress, Giffords said, “No. Better. Better.”
“She wants to get better,” Kelly explained.
Interviewer Diane Sawyer asked if Giffords meant she would go back to Congress if she got better. Giffords replied, “Yes.”

Holly Robinson Peete “I DUNNO WHY THEY FIRED ME?”

*In the midst of growth, “The Talk” decided to do a little makeover by not renewing contracts for Holly Robinson Peete and co-host Leah Remini, but no one knows why.
“I wasn’t given a reason,” she told “Access Hollywood.”
“I loved doing ‘The Talk.’ I was really good at it. I was in my comfort zone. I didn’t know if I could do daytime, live TV. I always wanted to do it, and I was feeling great about it,” she said. “I did everything I was asked to do and brought it.”
Fans of the show have threatened to stop watching granted the decision is upheld.

Peete confessed that it would have been nice for someone to address the change on the show, like Barbara Walters would on “The View.”
But the star has been left in the dark with nothing to point to as a reason she is no longer on the show.
She’s got some other things she’s working on anyway, so who cares.

Peete has a recurring role on “Mike and Molly” and has a cameo on upcoming “21 Jump Street” movie.
“That’s some old school stuff,” she said. “It’s not your parents’ 21 Jump Street,” she said. Although “Hanging With Mr. Cooper” and “21 Jump Street” ended their runs years ago, Holly assured fans, “I still got it.”

Mathew Knowles Gets A New Reality Show On MTV “Breaking From Above,”

Beyonce’s father is wasting no time trying to find his new big act after being dropped by his daughter. Mathew Knowles‘ Music World Entertainment and Music World Music recently announced that the company is partnering with MTV for a new reality series called, “Breaking From Above,” which features a hot all-girl group, “From Above” (pictured) — is a group of girls that will do anything to make it big the girls are from the, UK and from the looks of what he’s putting them threw are on the ride of their lives.
Ashley, Daisy, Seyi, Chelsey and Monique are all in their early 20s and have had various roles in the entertainment business, as singer/songwriter to featured dancer on the Kanye West tour, to lead vocalist in a UK girl band to dancer on a UK dance reality show.
The five girls will be hopping the Pond to Houston, Texas for a much anticipated date with the Music World Entertainment founder and president — a man who knows a thing or two about turning girl groups into gold.
He’ll put the group through his trademark Star Power™ Boot Camp of hardcore physical, vocal, media and choreography training to emphasize the philosophy that made global superstars of his protégés Destiny’s Child: work, work and more hard work.

Former Publicist Says Kim Still Loves Reggie and Wedding was a PR Stunt

Kim Kardashian's former publicist claims the reality star has never got over her ex Reggie Bush - and that her marriage to Kris Humphries was a sham.
Jonathan Jaxson - who worked with the reality star between 2007 and 2009 - has renewed claims Kim's nuptials to NBA star Humphries were a publicity stunt.

Speaking on Good Day LA this, Jaxson said: 'Two weeks prior to her wedding she knew it was not something she wanted to do.
'Unfortunately they were obligated to honour contracts [with the E! network which had TV rights] otherwise they would have owed a lot of people a lot of money.'Earlier this week during an interview with New York's Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, Jaxson said: 'She's never gotten over [her ex Reggie Bush].'

Kim, 31, and 26-year-old NFL star Reggie were the subject of repeated engagement claims throughout their relationship.
The couple dated for around two years before initially splitting in July 2009. Two months later they got back together before ending their relationship again in March last year.

Jaxson claimed he would often help Kim stage publicity stunts when he worked with her.

He continued: 'I staged several of the moments that the world has seen of her, such as a ring that we alleged was from Reggie Bush.'The publicist talked about how he helped generate a fake engagement story between Kim and Reggie in 2007 by setting up paparazzi to take pictures of her leaving a Beverly Hills jewellery store.
She then sported a ring on her wedding finger in public - which Jaxson claimed is identical to the one Kris proposed to Kim with.
Jaxson added that there is no doubt Kim and Kris, 26, made a packet during their time together.

Fat Joe Says The Music Industry Is Filled With Gay Rappers & A “Gay Mafia”

Fat Joe is speaking out about homosexuality in the rap game. In a recent interview with Vlad TV the emcee says he thinks everyone should be more open about their sexuality, telling gay rappers to “rep your set.” Joe says he’s “pretty sure” he’s worked with artists who are gay, noting that there are “millions of gay people in the world.” The emcee adds that homosexuality in hip-hop is more prevalent than most fans thinks, stating that there’s a “gay mafia” that has influence through their work at radio stations, magazines, and award shows.

Patti LaBelle Being Sued for Allegedly Assaulting a Baby and Its Mother?

According to reports, last year, R&B luminary Patti LaBelle acted like a diva when she hurled curses and a half bottle of water at a mother and her 18-month-old baby.
Now the veteran singer’s facing a lawsuit filed by Manhattan residents Kevin and Roseanna Monk, who live in the apartment building where the whole yelling match took place.
According to the couple’s lawyer, Samuel L. Davis, LaBelle chastised the mother for letting the toddle take steps away from her as she hassled with some luggage and a car seat.
After Mrs. Monk scooped up the child, she turned to the singer and told her it was none of her business.
That’s when LaBelle threw the water, hurled an insult or two, and eventually attempted to hit Monk when she responded.

No arrests were made.

This isn’t the first time the singer has been accused of violence.
Five months ago, a U.S. Military Academy cadet sued LaBelle over an incident with her bodyguards at Houston airport. According to the complaint, the cadet was allegedly attacked for no reason. But she later countersued the man, saying he was trying to get into her limousine and that he was drunk, yelling racial slurs.

Davis said Roseanna Monk had asked LaBelle for an apology and a donation to a children’s cancer charity but was rebuffed. The Monks feel “someone’s got to teach her even a diva can’t attack and frighten and assault regular people in the building,” their lawyer said.
