Patti LaBelle Sued by Long Time Manager!

Patti LaBelle is being sued by her longtime manager for breach of contract...

Damascene Pierre Paul, who managed Patti LaBelle from 1999 through 2009, claims Patti refuses to abide by the separation package they agreed to when they parted ways.

Damascene claims Patti agreed to pay him a percentage of royalties and commissions from certain concerts, records, musical compositions, books and Patti's Good Life products.

Damascene also says Patti promised him to two pieces of real estate and $125,000.00 paid in installments.

In exchange Damascene agreed to drop his defamation lawsuit against Patti and return a 2007 Mercedes Benz.

Damascene says he kept his part of the bargain, but Patti has not, and now he's seeking the original settlement, plus more than $50,000 in damages.

Patti LaBelle Pays $100K For Throwing Water & Obscenities At Child 

What is going on with Miss Patti these days? I almost forgot about this case. In 2010, an alleged case came out that the legendary Patti LaBelle had cursed at an 18 month old child and the child’s mother, in her Upper West Side apartment building. So what exactly happened? Roseanna Monk (the mother of the 18 month old, Genevive) says that her daughter was playing near the lobby door apartment building where LaBelle was staying. Roseanna alleges that Ms. Patti became upset (because her daughter was playing in the lobby) shouted the F-word, called her (Roseanna)a “c–t,” and drenched her with bottled water. When Roseanna accused LaBelle of making the girl hysterical, she reportedly became enraged and had to be held back by her entourage and hustled into a waiting car. Court papers said the child, now 3 1/2, has suffered

“personality changes, sleep disorder” and “increased fear of strangers.” 

What was the end result? LaBelle opted to settle the case before even being deposed and agreed to pay $100,000, to the plaintiff’s lawyer.

Patti LaBelle Being Sued for Allegedly Assaulting a Baby and Its Mother?

According to reports, last year, R&B luminary Patti LaBelle acted like a diva when she hurled curses and a half bottle of water at a mother and her 18-month-old baby.
Now the veteran singer’s facing a lawsuit filed by Manhattan residents Kevin and Roseanna Monk, who live in the apartment building where the whole yelling match took place.
According to the couple’s lawyer, Samuel L. Davis, LaBelle chastised the mother for letting the toddle take steps away from her as she hassled with some luggage and a car seat.
After Mrs. Monk scooped up the child, she turned to the singer and told her it was none of her business.
That’s when LaBelle threw the water, hurled an insult or two, and eventually attempted to hit Monk when she responded.

No arrests were made.

This isn’t the first time the singer has been accused of violence.
Five months ago, a U.S. Military Academy cadet sued LaBelle over an incident with her bodyguards at Houston airport. According to the complaint, the cadet was allegedly attacked for no reason. But she later countersued the man, saying he was trying to get into her limousine and that he was drunk, yelling racial slurs.

Davis said Roseanna Monk had asked LaBelle for an apology and a donation to a children’s cancer charity but was rebuffed. The Monks feel “someone’s got to teach her even a diva can’t attack and frighten and assault regular people in the building,” their lawyer said.
