Michael Jordan's Daughter Jasmine Jordan COMES OUT She's Gay!

Michael Jordan's DAUGHTER Jasmine Jordan CONFIRMS She's Gay,
Last week, Jasmine Jordan, the only daughter of Michael and Juanita Jordan posted several Instagram pics of herself with her girlfriend, former Syracuse Orange basketball guard Carmen Tyson-Thomas.
One telling caption read "That little closet is holding me back.”
With Jasmine being the second high-profile kid of a sports icon to come "out" (remember E.J., Magic Johnson's son?), a certain site took the information and posted it in a very sensationalized manner.  In response, Jasmine went back to her Instagram account and said,
“(the other site) has struck again! Lol but just like the last time, I’m chillin and not bothered. Negativity go to the left and take a seat. No time for that! Everyone have an amazing day!”
She continued....
”Until Love, Trust, Honesty, Repost, Loyalty, Commitment, Genuine, Happiness and other characteristics or aspects I want in a relationship is defined by one gender then and only then will I discuss my sexual preference.”

Jasmine's girlfriend posts tons of pics of their skype sessions and lovey dovey notes as well.  So the twosome are indeed an item.
Congrats on doing you Jasmine....

OUT THE CLOSET: WWE WRESTLER DARREN YOUNG ADMITS TO BEING GAY
WWE American wrestler, Darren Young, is the latest high profile professional wrestler to announce that he is gay!!! In a totally impromptu interview with TMZ early this morning, Darren was asked whether a gay wrestler could be successful in the World Wrestling Entertainment world.  His response…

“Absolutely! Look at me,” Young tells the photographer. “I’m a WWE Superstar and to be honest with you … I’ll tell you right now that I’m gay.”
check out the full interview.

The window has now been officially propped open for any professional athlete that has the confidence and security in themselves to be truthful about who they actually are.  Athletes like Young along with football player Robbie Rogers and NBA player Jason Collins are truly inspirational for paving the way for others that may be struggling with the same demons that have prevented them from coming out about their sexuality.  For their fearlessness we salute.

WOW! Rapper A$AP Rocky Speaks Out for Gay Equality!

Rapper A$AP Rocky Speaks Out for Gay Equality!
Rapper A$AP Rocky sits down with Interview magazine and touches on his support for gay equality:
For me, growing up in Harlem and then migrating down to SoHo and the Lower East Side and chillin' down there and making that my stomping ground . . . That was a big thing, because I'm from Harlem, and downtown is more artsy and also more open-minded. So I got the best of both worlds. It was like being on the streets and then being in school at the same time, and I tried to keep my hands in everything just so I wasn't missing out on any fun. I just always wanted to be knowledgeable of my whereabouts, my surroundings, and what was going on with our generation.
So now that I'm here and I've got a microphone in my hand and about 6,000 people watching me, I need to tell them how I feel. For instance, one big issue in hip-hop is the gay thing. It's 2013, and it's a shame that, to this day, that topic still gets people all excited. It's crazy. And it makes me upset that this topic even matters when it comes to hip-hop, because it makes it seem like everybody in hip-hop is small-minded or stupid—and that's not the case. We've got people like Jay-Z. We've got people like Kanye. We've got people like me. We're all prime examples of people who don't think like that. I treat everybody equal, and so I want to be sure that my listeners and my followers do the same if they're gonna represent me. And if I'm gonna represent them, then I also want to do it in a good way.

The rapper was interviewed by Mr. Porter in February. He told them:
"People say I'm gay sometimes, but I have a lot of bitches so why would I care? It doesn't bother me at all. You know why they say that? Because they can't say that I suck, they can't say that I'm not handsome, and they can't say that my lyrics are wack, so they say that I'm gay because they don't have anything on me."
Sans the B*tches comment…Otherwise I LOVE IT!

HEY BLACK PEOPLE, You almost lost some of your Voting Rights!

FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER!

BLACK PEOPLE Some of your VOTING rights were almost taken from You!
After Fiery Speech, Voting Rights Amendment Is Pulled

So you want to get angry at Obama and the NAACP over their support of Mariage Equality?

Well then you can vote republican but let me give you a little history on these people!
The Republican Party is in the throes of a full scale counterrevolution. They're at war with the revolution conservatives lost in 1781. They're at war with the Constitution that they despised so much, especially the intimation that all men are created equal. Conservatives fought on the side of the British during the Revolution. Those who didn't flee to Canada and the Old Country after they lost-- as well as other conservatives who had remained "neutral" during the war for independence-- insisted that the Constitution preserve the privileges of wealthy white males.
The ideals of a new world that had inspired so many of the patriots was trampled on by conservatives-- many from backward Southern states that were as backward then as they are today-- who held the very idea of a united nation hostage to their right-wing ideology. They threatened to tear the new country apart, not just over slavery, but over the franchise as well. No women, no young people, no poor people would be allowed to vote-- or they would walk. Only older white male property owners. The history of conservatism in this country is the history of opposing every extension of the franchise that has come down the pike.
Ironically, now that they own their own political party, well-funded by a greed-obsessed and dangerously powerful plutocracy, many of the very people who they would bar from the franchise are their keenest followers. Low-info voters, especially, though not exclusively, in the Old Confederacy can buy into a zeitgeist manufactured by right-wing wealth. They have Fox and Hate Talk Radio validating their basest instincts and stoking and manipulating manufactured fears and prejudices. Objective reality and science are now just a he-said/she-said proposition as the vilest aspects of the Republican lizard brain seem perfectly respectable to large segments of the population.
The states that the GOP controls-- and not just southern throwbacks like Alabama, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Florida-- but normal places that have fallen into their clutches as well-- Wisconsin being the most obvious example-- have been passing laws to suppress voter participation. They are no longer content in opposing extending the franchise, now they have deranged billionaires like the Koch brothers will to fund efforts to prevent people from voting.

When these things make it to the floor of the congress it can bring a lengthy debate!
And sometimes during lengthy floor debates on bills, interesting things happen in the witching hours.
Such was the case when Representative John Lewis of Georgia pushed back with a fiery speech directed at an amendment offered by Representative Paul C. Broun of Georgia that would have barred the Justice Department from using money to enforce a part of the Voting Rights Act.
At around 10 p.m., Mr. Lewis, a former civil rights leader, took to the podium to denounce the amendment, which sought to end financing for enforcement of Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act, designed to protect minority voters from being disenfranchised.

He began by saying it was “hard and difficult and almost unbelievable that any member, especially a member from the state of Georgia,” would offer the amendment. As he laid out various methods used before the civil rights movement to suppress the black vote, he added: “People died for the right to vote! Friends of mine! Colleagues of mine!”

WATCH:
Mr. Broun appeared shaken and, in an unusual move, withdrew his own amendment.
On Thursday, Meredith Griffanti, a spokeswoman for Mr. Broun, who is a medical doctor, said that he “fully believes in the intent of his amendment to prevent the Justice Department from enforcing Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act,” but added that “given the magnitude of this change and out of respect for his colleagues, Dr. Broun withdrew the amendment.”
“He felt as though it deserved ample debate time where all members could participate rather than during a closed-off discussion in the late hours of the evening,” she said. “Dr. Broun looks forward to having this debate in the future.”

So you Blacks who mad at Obama and the NAACP over marriage equality needs to get a DAMN GRIP. There are far more WORSE issues plaging our community than Gay Marriage.

1. Jobs
2. Education
3. Crime
4. Health Initiatives (H.I.V, Diabetes, Hypertension, Cancer, etc)
These are far worse issues and just think if there wasn’t a champion like John Lewis to fight for US. YEAH You think the Mormon Mitt Romney and the Republicans give a DAMN about you? Keep thinking inside the box and see where our community gets…NO WHERE!

WAKE UP AND KNOW YOUR PRIORITIES!!!

BREAKING NEWS: NAACP Endorses Gay Marriage!

BREAKING NEWS: NAACP Endorses Gay Marriage!

Less than two weeks after President Barack Obama announced his public support for gay marriage, a prominent African-American civil rights organization is following suit.
The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People's board of directors voted to endorse gay marriage on Saturday, according to a tweet from NAACP officer
The NAACP Board of Directors has just endorsed marriage equality unequivocally. Only two opposed!
Metro Weekly procured the full resolution from the 64-member unit, which is highlighted by an affirmation of the 14th Amendment's equal protection clause:
"The NAACP Constitution affirmatively states our objective to ensure the 'political, education, social and economic equality' of all people. Therefore, the NAACP has opposed and will continue to oppose any national, state, local policy or legislative initiative that seeks to codify discrimination or hatred into the law or to remove the Constitutional rights of LGBT citizens. We support marriage equality consistent with equal protection under the law provided under the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution. Further, we strongly affirm the religious freedoms of all people as protected by the First Amendment."
The NAACP decision comes at a time where diverse opinions on same-sex marriage are present within black churches. Following Obama's announcement, Bishop Timothy Clarke of the First Church of God in Columbus, Ohio, summed up his congregation's mixed feelings on the issue.
"No church or group is monolithic," Clarke told USA Today. "Some were powerfully agitated and disappointed. Others were curious -- why now? to what end? Others were hurt. And others, to be honest, told me it's not an issue and they don't have a problem with it."
From the government end of the spectrum, dozens of politicians have paralleled Obama's words since the May 9 announcement. GOP presidential hopeful Mitt Romney stands on the other side of the issue, telling KETV-TV on May 10 that "as a society, I think we're better off if we encourage the establishment of homes with a mother and a father."
National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Executive Director Rea Carey released a statement acclaiming the NAACP's decision as a "truly historic moment." More from Carey:
"We are proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with the NAACP working together on the many issues that affect all of our lives. Whether it be fair access to education and jobs, an end to voter suppression and racial profiling, the right to love and be who we are free of discrimination -- these issues affect all of us, our families and our country. Today the NAACP did what it does so well -- inspires and affirms our common humanity."

This is a BIG STEP. I just now hope that many in the LGBTQ Community who still have their issues with African Americans "ahem RACE...YES I SAID RACE!"  come off their HIGH HORSE and realize an entire RACE isn't homophobic nor do African American lawmakers have NEVER wrote one bill that harmed the LGBTQ Community. It's time to seriously come together!

Colorado Lesbian Couple Fears For Their Safety After Hate Speech is Marked on their Home!
A Colorado-based lesbian couple fears for their safety after allegedly becoming targets of a frightening hate crime.

As Colorado's KWGN is reporting, Aimee Whitchurch and her partner of four years, Christel Conklin, found "Kill the Gay" scrawled in red spray paint across the garage door of their Parker condominium last weekend. A day later, a noose was found on their doorstep.
"You get words like 'homos' or 'you're going to burn in hell' and things of that nature, but 'kill the gay?' That's a threat against our lives so it was overwhelming," Whitchurch explained. "The noose is where it really became shocking and scary."
video:
Whitchurch and Conklin also confessed to other problems, such as complaints from neighbors who claim they do not pick up after their dogs, with their homeowners association at the Parker condo complex -- many of which they believe may be motivated by homophobia. In addition, the report also pointed out one neighbor who has allegedly filmed the couple from a window. Although the association has covered over the hate message, the couple believes the haphazard paint job is yet another example of the harassment they have to live through in the neighborhood.

MY GOODNESS Why folks just can’t people LIVE AND LET LIVE!
