THE STRUGGLING LIFE OF CIARA… New Album Nobody Wants Is Put Up On Groupon
Ciara, if you don’t do anything else today… send your entire marketing team to the unemployment office.
Ciara has been embarrassed in more ways than one but this stunt right here takes the cake. Someone had the bright idea to put Ciara’s new album and top jawns up for sale on Groupon.
WTH!??!? According to Groupon, THIS DEAL IS ON! With 70 albums already purchased at $13.99 for 2-CD’s this is an epic fail! Maybe they thought this would be a power move like Jay-Z’s Samsung deal but obviously the memo got lost in translation.
Ciara is looking to drive sales around her recently released fifth studio album, Ciara. The set debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 albums chart moving a total of 59,000 copies within its first week of release. The sales figures is a huge improvement over her 2010 opus, Basic Instinct, which debuted and peaked at No.44. with 37,000 in sales. Unfortunately, Ciara has since slipped on the charts after not being able to maintain record sales.
Unfortunately, this probably won’t be the last time that Ciara is humiliated but just so we are all on the same page…
