The New Owner of Soul Train Is Magic Johnson!!

Former Lakers star, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, now has another title to add to his business ventures! He is now the owner of Soul Train and he has big plans for it!

Host and creator Don Cornelius debuted Soul Train in syndication 40 years ago this month! Soul Train is known for always keeping up with the musical trends from Motown, Disco, The Sound of Philly, New Jack Swing, Jazz, Hip Hop and more! Magic Johnson says that he plans to bring the ground breaking music show, Soul Train, back to television.

Magic’s goal is to restore the legacy that Cornelius has left behind. Magic sees as though soul train is apart of who he is as a person. 

Did you know that this is where Magic learned how to dance?? He was actually featured on the show back in the 80′s. Funny right?!
